O2 a name synonymous for a cesspit. Due to a recent house move I was forced to move from EE to O2, and my god, I have never in my life experienced such bad, unhelpful and outright useless customer service. We are currently on day 7 without any service. I have been into the o2 store, been on the phone for hours, spoken on live chat, yet 7 days later, no one has an answer to why my phone doesn't work, and quite frankly no one seems to care. Please avoid at all costs, go to EE. The amount of suffering this has caused me in my personal and professional life is worth no sum of money. Go EE, and never look back to O2. What a useless establishment (as you can see from all of the other reviews)

please go to Vodafone and other networks as this network is not even worthy of supplying mobile contracts, call centres in India and we live in UK, which is why they cant provide a service they will credit check on your name over and over and their system is so old that they cant process the order and will again do another credit check absolute Sh t of a service and - customer care

“Worst customer service in the world”

Bought a Wi-Fi router 5 years ago was used once for a company I used to work for. 7 months ago the company went bust so I rang cancelled it and paid it of on my own card thinking I was doing the decent thing. Next month they billed again. Rang up and repeated. Yes sir youve left nothing else for you to do. Next month same again. Went to a store, the first store said they were too busy the 2nd store gave me an appointment for an hour when they found out it was a cancellation they laughed at me and said they had better things to do. Webchat they dont respond after they say theyre going to link you to a manager. If you send them a letter by recorded delivery they do not respond. And email you will get a response saying we will be in touch that never happens. Post about it on Resolver they message saying they will be in touch and never will. Your only hope in cancelling anything with them is the Ombudsman. Dont think in all my 40 years Ive ever been so appalled by a company. Ive recorded the calls and call records but they still dont take any notice. Your only way is to protest in there stores. Its a truly shocking experience. There a bad company and quite how there getting away with it and treating there customers in such a way needs looked into by the police

“Shocking customer service”

O2 WHAT A SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGUSTING YOU CANT GET ANY ANSWERS OUT OF ANYBODY SENT A FAULTY VR HEADSET BACK TO THEM 8 WEEKS AGO WE HAVE Been phoning twice a week asking about the refund only to be told every time its been processed!! CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF ARE LIYING THEY HAVE GOT TO BE THE WORSE COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS AND IM GOUNG TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THIS.. STAY AWAY FROM O2 THEY ARE SHOCKING SHOCKING! “SIM not arrived ”

I have waited over 7 days for a SIM. It did not arrive via Royal Mail as promised. I rang. I was told it would be couriered over the next day. It wasn't. I have 2 emails 1 saying a second SIM will be delivered by mail, one by courier. Both say I can track them. I can't. I have already been charged for the first month even though I have not received my SIM. I have also lost my number as I sent the PACs code to my old company, assuming no-one could muck up sending a SIM card out twice!! I tried calling again and was cut off after 20 minutes holding.

I've not had single problem with service or phone which is a Oppo A78 5G the battery life of phone is more then amazing will last days is better then the Samsung S22 ultra I did have plus playing games like truck simulator doesn't eat the battery life,will charge from 5% to 100% in less then 45mins with Ultra fast charger that come with phone I can't fault this phone,even in setting you can go from 4GB ram to 8GB in Total with 128GB

“O2 end of contract ”

more or less forced to take out a O2 sim as part of a reduced price virginmedia contract, never used or needed the O2 sim, they recently put up my monthly O2 payment to nearly £20 per month, rang O2 up today to cancel the sim / payment and was told I'd have to pay the remaining months on the O2 sim / contract at 'full price' !! So now I've paid in advance for a sim I can't even use if I wanted to - I think this is disgusting and a total rip off. I'll never use O2 again that's for sure. I think they should have least given me a 50% discount on the remaining months. O2 will rip you off every penny, avoid avoid avoid.

Husband elderly. Rarely used phone in a year. Decided to cancel and get refund as not on contract. Called. Explained. Told me to wait. Waited 2 1/2 hours of music playing. Never checked in with me. Nothing. Left phone on table as i did housework. Finally ran out of air time as needed charging. Will contact Trading Standards as an appalling company. Treat customers with total disrespect.Avoid

“Awful theft company”

The worst experience. I got a sim card through Virgin Media...I didn't need to have a new SIM. They started charging me without even been connected. Untrue, sham and shameless. Saying to me over the phone that I made calls and send text messages. They said they will refund my money...still waiting. Avoid this company please!!!!!

A SHARK, A SHAM COMPANY As my bill was going up 50%!!!!, I called them if I can cancel my contract without paying any early disconnection penalty on 31st March 2023 around 16:30. The guy clearly confirmed that I can cancel the contract without paying early disconnection charge. Now I got a HUGE bill including the early disconnection charge!!! If this is not a sham, what is it? Why this kind of behaviours are allowed in the UK? This is illegal and this is a sham. The company should not be allowed to do any business if they conduct this kind of illegal activity. Their customer service are awful. They can't speak English properly and calling their customer service wouldn't go anywhere. Needless to say, their date connection are simply dreadful. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

“O2 CONTRACT SHAM”

Agreed a contract with O2 for 2 years £55 p/m. Then 7 months in they suddenly decide to charge me £64 p/m and there is nothing I can do about it. When we enter a contract it is to lock in a price, why else would a customer sign a contract? You may as well be sim only. If my mortgage or utility company suddenly decided to change my price mid contract there would be uproar, well O2 can do whatever they like, and tough if you dont agree because its in the small print that you never read. Im stuck now and im furious with them. Tell as many people as you can to NEVER sign a mobile phone contract. You basically just sign all of your rights away and have to pay whatever O2 want to charge. They could increase the price to £700 p/m and I would still have to pay. As a customer you gain nothing from signing a contract. Never again. We should all join together and stop this company from tricking their customers.

I have a contract with them for many years, but the last time I upgraded to the iPhone 13, which came with problems, and from the first day they wanted to repair it illegally! and I stayed with it defective and I continue to pay installments! I have problems with the network and they keep false to me that they are sending me a SIM card for exchange, on the contrary I bought a new phone and I still have problems with the network!!! I lost jobs because of their network!!!

“Horrible customer service! ”

I have 2 mobiles with virgin. Virgin and O2 recently merged apparently so about a year ago I was offered a better plan from Virgin if I kept my landline with them and my 2 mobiles phones with O2. I accepted, recieved 1 sim card (I have 2 mobiles number) from o2 and I needed to give them the code to transfer my existing numbers, but I had to wait for the other sim card before doing it. Because I could smell from miles away that it would be a long and painful battle, I decided to cancel the plan within the time of cancellation. After that, I saw that my account was debited the amount of the plan by o2 on top of my vrigin bill. I called them and they've told me that it was sorted and they will refund me. I didn't pay attention about the refund but I saw that it was still collected. I called again. Then I blocked the direct debit. And obviously no refund was done. A couple of month ago I recieved a letter from a recovery agency for O2. I called O2... again... and they contacted the recovery agency. Before I called them, I checked my bank account and I had a good amount of money taken from my account over the first few months of my cancelled plan. I asked for a refund and it has been nearly 2 months that the refund will be on my account in the next 5 working days. I called O2 more than I call my own mother this last few weeks! I spend a incredible amounts of time on hold, with one of their employee I spend more than 10 minutes opening my file because they couldn't understand my postcode starting with "d for Delta" that in her ears became "B for Beta or E for Echo,...". Yesterday I called again, same show! Waiting, waiting, waiting, until I finally spoke to a guy that says that he has to put me on hold to contact the financial services. Then, he told me that because the account associate to the number I cancelled and never used have been closed they couldn't do the refund until they are certain that the recovery company (remember the one that I recieved a letter 2 month ago) confirmed them that file was closed with them. I recieved a letter from that company on Monday (2 days ago) saying that my file with them was closed. Then O2 asked me the name of that recovery agency, obviously I can't remember it but most important, they are the one contacting them at the first place!!!!! They surely know the name of that recovering agency they are working with. The employee was supposed to call me back yesterday and guess what... He never did! I think that this is a strategy for me to give up and they will not have to refund me!! I have been with Virgin for more than 5 years. I have now moved my broadband with Vodafone. My 2 mobiles number will automatically switch to O2 very soon apparently. It is time to move on. I never seen such a level of hypocrisy and incompetence. I dont want to have anything to do with O2 anymore! When I switched to Vodafone, I needed a refund as I paid to much. It was tiny amount, but it has been done on the day!!!! Avoid O2 by all means!

“Very poor coverage”

I can’t believe how poor O2’s coverage is. I travel up and down the M1, M6, M54 and bearing in mind these motorways are close to major towns and cities the signal simply dips in and out. Hardly any 4G and the 3G doesn't work. Even inside the M25, in built up areas I have problems. I can’t wait til my contract ends. I have a SIM card in my car from a different provider and the signal is so much better, even in hilly areas in North Wales.

“Awful customer service”

I've been a long term loyal O2 customer. At some point they just stopped being a good value so, after a series of completely fruitless conversations with various O2 customer service assistants, I decided to leave. And here (surprise, surprise...) they started making problems. I asked for my PAC code and turns out I'm not able to receive it whilst abroad. I got advised to do it via website and it doesn't work either. I've emailed them but haven't heard back.

Strongly recommend not to take o2 mobile connection or any contract. Poor network coverage, poor customer service and not cost efficient. Every month billing they ad some glitch by adding small amount. Please think twice thrice or ten times before taking o2 mobile.
