“Completely useless customer services”

I had been with Three for some years and found it reliable and cost effective despite some signal drop out issues. I had a £10 per month unlimited texts and calls and 4GB data plan which suited me fine. That was until I got a letter from Three to say that, since my 12month contract had finished they were changing me to a monthly rolling contract for the same service but at £14 per month!!! “The worst customer service ever experienced”

The customer service line is obsoliutly useless, to say the least!! I am not a demanding or picky person myself. However, this was just unbelievable! I was staying on the line for over 2 hours on Monday evening and for over an hour on Tuesday morning. The staff had a very poor knowledge, kept me on hold or transfering me all over the departments and eventually made me cry and spoiled my day. While, all I wanted was to keep my old phone number. “Customer-service needs to improve!!”

I have been with '3 network' for many years now and i am alright with the network itself. Overall, it is not so bad. However, the customer services is a massive fail! “Great Network, Bad Customer Service”

I have just changed from Giffgaff,I stuck with them so long as it was really cheap and figured you get what you pay for. Have just got a sim only month to month deal from 3 - the extra minutes and ability to tether my iphone is well worth the extra £6 a month. The Signal so far has been fantastic - makes me realise how bad my previous neywork was. “Helpful customer service”

Sim cards arrived within 2 days but unfortunately the signal was very weak in our area. Contacted customer service, the staff spoke very clearly and were very polite and helpful. “I've stopped reviving calls and I can't call other people”

My phone cut off mid conversation, it said call failed so I though it was a signal issue but I had full bars.. Well - i'll start by saying it's a bit unfair to say 'any' positive reviews are lies or people posting on behalf of Three. That's pretty much unprovable in both scenarios. Writing this on 10/3/2013, on day two of a big unreliable sig issue in the part of ME5 where i am, which is unusual (even had a good indoor sig when the weather was extremely bad), i'd think unfavourably of the network if the last 24 or so hours here was representative of the norm, but it's not - here anyway. Good review and positively written. During 10 years I never had a signal issue that wasn't global. I never faulted the service until the past year. Up until April last year customer service quickly solved any issues I had. Several faulty phones repaired quickly and efficiently. Up until then I would probably have scored similarly to you.

Now, however, customer service seem to have their own agenda. They tell customers one thing and mark their card with something different. I have been forced to use the Ombudsman, not so much to re-claim monies taken from my bank account over a 10 month period, but to somehow get something done to stop their call centres lying and cheating us.

When it comes to a complaint, despite thousands of customers reporting the same issues, Three UK quote what is written on your account record as gospel! Things never discussed, cancelled contracts marked as renewed, many tricks to ensure you technically remain a customer.

Having been a Three customer since they opened for business in this country, I thought I would be with them for life. Trust me, customer loyalty is a thing of the past, and I was heartbroken to leave what was the best network in the UK.

“Cheap but coverage depends where you will be using it”

I recently changed to Three from O2 as Three was a third of the price for a decent SIM only contract. The service is great and the coverage is also pretty decent in populated area's (London is great). The trouble is I travel through the country to get to work and the coverage is patchy at best on my trip to and from work. Upgrades if you call 3 direct you get over inflated prices if you use my 3 internet you get higher taffifs if you are going the shop there prices beat both y...... “They boil my p1ss!”

Saw a great upgrade for my daughter - a HTC Desire C, with 100mins, 5000 texts and all you can eat data, for £13 a month! The phone has 4GB, Beats Audio and Wifi etc, yeah. Brilliant. The phone they sent had nowhere near 4GB, so we argued the toss for over an hour and 3 agreed to a replacement. Can't believe the number of people who experience such appalling service from them. Have to agree, no matter how good the deal sounds, avoid like the plague as you will never get to speak to someone who can operate without a script.

Left three after four years as they were unable to give a competetive price for upgrade after I had gone through dial-a-phone and topcashback (good cashback site and generally gives cashback very reliably with suprisingly little fuss). The guy on the other end of the phone in India was willing to try and tell me I had got it all wrong and three have cheaper deals than anyone. The subject says it all really. I was with 3 for about 7 years and i have to say, I found the cs to be consistently excellent. What I appreciated (in contrast to vodafone) was that 3 cs is more single tier - if you phone with a problem, it is like the first person to answer will be able to deal with it, rather than having to be transferred over and over. iPhone 4 value for money is unbeatable. To get the same stuff on O2 as I have on 3 for £35 a month, it would cost £55, and that would be with 1gb data usage. My iPhone came fast, and everything was ok. Signal was average. Customer service however is chronic. I had been with three for around 2 years on contract.. My home is in the countryside so i did not expect to get a huge amount of signal.. for the first year and a bit everything was fine i got signal most places upstairs and signal in the main towns etc was very good..

however around the end of last year they were doing "upgrades" to the network and my signal started going downhill, i think this may have been because they stopped roaming as much and i must have been getting most of my signal… Read Full Review

I have been with three for nearly 4 years, also have 2 other mobiles for work which are with Orange and O2, Ok customer services are a complete joke and they simply cannot help and really don't have any idea, but I travel up and down the UK every day and have never had any signal problems. “It's interesting that many people are complaining...”

It's interesting that many people are complaining about the signal strength disappearing. I live in West London and have been with 3 soon after they started. I've always had 4 to 5 bars of reception. Towards the end of last year I noticed that the signal strength was getting low...Forget using the internet!! Many incoming calls end up in Voice-Mail, and today {26-2-2011} I cannot make outgoing calls due to a lack of signal.
