Great engineers doing it all in a day. Not like British Gas, who were at my mothers house for a week! Suffice to say she paid their wages whilst they camped at her house. Three vans! And then they sold her a carbon monoxide detector, for the boiler that they had just fitted? Well done...

Posibly he meant- price was such and such, and everything went up , so to keep paying what was in 2006 he needed more efficient boiler.
This boiler must be very efficient in this case- am I wright?

It's interesting that you were paying the same for gas as your 25 year old boiler - does that mean that your 25 year old boiler was as good as the new one? if so, why 5 stars?

Commission hunters now, thats all British Gas put any thought into. A good engineer to them is not the one who fixes the most breakdowns first time. Its the fella who goes round doing a few waste of time and mostly pointless so called services and sells loads of rip off to hell and back products.
That are at times fitted by utter fools in flashy sign written vans.
