Used to send two large heavy parcels a week or so apart, each parcel had manufacturers weights and measurements stamped on them and these were the measurements I quoted when booking. Surprisingly dater 2 weeks after sending each parcel I got an email from Parcel Hero advising me that UPS had audited the weight and claimed they were underdeclared and they would debit me by a further £113 , they claimed they would simply re debit the payment method I used. I contacted my bank and withdrew payment authority and did the same with PayPal They refuse to provide evidence of the under declaration and I am confident my figures were correct. I have told them in no uncertain terms to try and collect in court if they want.

Weighed and measured my parcel on certified calibrated machines. Paid the charge and 21 days after delivery I was charged a further amount for an "adjustment". The weight given as their weight was 45kg, they said my stated weight was 43.6kg. My item actually weighed 32kg! Had it been 45kg it would have required a 2 man lift!! I raised a dispute and was told I would not be charged until my challenge had been investigated. Guess what, they took the money anyway!! This is becoming more regular from the reviews ive read. I will be returning to Myhermes in the future.

Be VERY VERY careful if you are thinking of using this company. Shipped some car seats at a cost of approx £70. Thought nothing more until a few weeks later when they got in touch demanding a further £62 based on COMPLETELY a different dimensions. Sent them pictures of my parcel that show my figures are correct and they are STILL trying to get me for £62. Be warned they will ask you to send supporting pictures of each dimension given showing the full measuring tape. The measuring tape must be legible and the pic should also clearly show the shipping label. They will provide NOTHING to support their fictional dimensions. As dodgy a company as I have ever dealt with. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

This company caused me a total loss of 2000 GBP! I have been asked by the claims department to REPURCHASE ALL THE ITEMS that were in the suitcase they have lost - this costed me a total of more than 1000 GBP. In this instance, I have been assured that I will be refunded for this amount. So basically they have not only LOST my items (loss of 1000 GBP) but they made me loose a further 1000 GBP! Be aware of this company as from my experience it is a total SHAM.

First and last time I will be using this very questionable outfit. Beyond bad the worst shipping company or agent I have dealt with in over 40 years. Failed to deliver then asked for nearly £60 to return item. Ignore your comments. Then the add insult to injury they email to say delivery had been made. Three hours later after I have asked for confirmation they then advise they have made a mistake and that they still want nearly £60 to return. Then requested a telephone call from one of their senior management, promised but not received. At the end of the day this will cost my business several hundred pounds and many hours of my time not to mention a very unhappy client. Twice they have sent satisfaction requests instead of answering the question. You can guess the response. Only one place left COUNTY COURT and I look forward to hearing their defence. Trading standards will also be advised and directed to all the adverse comments on here.

to cut along storey short, sent a parcel quoted me £15.50, then parecelhero came back saying UPS had audited my parcel and it was incorrect measurements. And was demanding another £108, unless i could prove otherwise, which i did not pay. They then were sending me emails saying they have sent this to there dept recovery team who said i have 14 days to pay or there will be more cost and court. which i ignored and have not heard anything since. Total shammers who try the scare people but i called there bluff.

I was quoted a cost for delivery. To be accurate to the nearest mm, I used a package with the measurements written on the side. My measurements were confirmed by the shipping company but still ParcelHero are demanding £65 saying the package was bigger. Total rip off.

This is how it works. Quoted £30.59 for UPS to deliver a parcel and 8 days later after the delivery charged me £114.89 for an extra 5cm. So a total of £144.89 No evidence of the new size just their word. If you add the new dimensions into the Parcelhero price generator it quotes £82.61. So for and extra 5cm it's £62.28 extra??? UPSHelp UK don't want to know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Absolutely apauled by this company. The actually delivery itself went ahead as planned, although I got no email update as to where my parcel was. But then I received another email asking for more money as they had audited my parcel and believed it to be 10kg over what I had stated, which was not the case. I have complained and not had a straight answer! I'm not that bothered about paying the extra money it's just the principle, especially now the extra money tops it up to a ridiculous price I should have just driven the long trip to return my parcel myself, a lot less hassle and a lot cheaper than it has ended up! Avoid this company at all costs and go direct to a courier company, these just seem like serial shammers by looking at the other reviews!

I have very reluctantly given parcel hero one star, only because this review site will not allow me to give anything lower. Parcel hero accepted my order to collect and deliver a toilet and cistern, they allowed me to purchase insurance for this item. The item arrived smashed into a million pieces. This was a high quality item that was well packaged and protected, to smash it so significantly would have required extreme force and serious mishandling. Yet parcel force now refuse to even allow me to claim against the insurance they sold me , yet now they claim this item was exempt. Throughout the online order at no point was I made aware of this exemption on the parcel hero website, in fact they allowed me to buy extra insurance! What do they offer me as compensation for a £300 item and £30 shipping fee? FIFTEEN POUNDS CREDIT. Do parcel hero reply to my email complaint? No, parcel hero ignore my email sent in response to this insulting offer. Is there any point in calling? No, because they never answer their phones. Please avoid parcel hero at all costs, they are unscrupulous and doing business in an underhand and immoral way.

Purchased a parcel delivery stating exact weight size ect charged £50+ 2 weeks later chaged.. no stole another £61 from my account under the pretence that parcel weighed 11 kg more even though it clearly stated on package the exact dimentions by the manufacturer never use them again so i would advise anyone looking to post a parcel to look elsewhere

hi there have you managed to claim any pf your money back? I've spoken to citizens advice and they advise they have to provide evidence of the difference, which I'm still seeking - they are a joke
Written on: 04/04/2017
No they have now said parcel was larger it's rubbish as I have size and weight on box from manufacturers so ripped me off for £61 plus the original £47 total £108 the bloody cooker hood cost £125

I originally placed an order through Parcelhero for a package to be collected from a Hotel in Andorra on 13th February 2017. On the evening of 13th February 2017 I contacted the hotel reception (which is staffed 24 hours) to find out if the package had been collected. I was told, by the hotel receptionist, that the driver did not show up. I emailed Parcelhero to ask for an explanation on that day. On 14th February 2017, I received an automated email notifying me that collection from the Hotel “had been attempted” on 13th Feb "but was unable to collect". The email proceeded to list some reasons why the collection “might” have failed, but did not give an exact reason which is just pointless. I knew that the information in this email was not truthful as I had already been notified the day before by the Hotel staff that the driver didn’t show up. On same day I also received a reply from Dan McGeoghan (from my email the day before) informing me that I would have to re book the collection. At a cost of £6.00 I did not see why I should have to pay for this, as it wasn’t my fault the driver didn’t show up, but I begrudgingly (and stupidly) paid the cost as I just wanted my package to be collected. This was re booked for 15th February 2017. On the evening of 15th February 2017 I telephoned the hotel for an update and was informed again that no one had shown up to collect. I was annoyed at this and replied to Dan's email asking for an explanation as to why no-one had bothered to turn up to the collection point TWICE in a row. I also asked for information regarding the complaints department. I receive an apologetic response but no information regarding the complaints department was included in the email nor any solution to the problem. On Friday 17th February I telephoned Customer Services and spoke to a very polite lady called Maria De Zori. Maria apologised for the inconvenience caused and offered to refund the re booking cost of £6.00 (which I have received) and would re book the collection for Monday 20th February. She also said that she would email me and keep me updated. I received an email, the same day, from Maria asking me for further details of the pickup location to which I replied with the full address and gave the link to google maps. On Monday 20th February 2017 I emailed and asked for a confirmation that the package had been picked up. 21st February 2017, I had not received a response so I emailed again asking for an update. Today, 22nd February 2017, I still have not received a response and have just had enough. 9 days have passed since I placed the order, and it’s still not been collected. I chose this company as it has got a good reputation, however, after the first time purchasing a service from them, I wish I'd never bothered and gone with someone else.

Don't be fooled. This is a 3rd party acting between you and the courier. It's is not a price comparison site. You pay them and they pay a courier - Which makes them the customer, which may not seem like a problem until something goes wrong with the courier who won't help you if your parcel goes missing. At 17:55 pm on Friday night after waiting all day for the parcel, i received an email to say the UPS centre refused my delivery because of the size of the parcel, even though they knew what size it would be when i booked. I acted immediately by phoning Parcel Hero. I waited 5 minutes to speak to someone to then have the line drop on me. .....Later to realise its was because it was just past 6pm - their closing time!! I then called UPS as really needed the parcel to finish a job i was doing. They refused to help because i was not the sender. Parcel Hero is considered their client as they paid UPS. So i had to speak with Parcel hero to solve the problem - whom of which would be closed all weekend. ....So nobody could help me until monday. Monday morning I contact Parcel Hero who then tells me the parcel is being returned to THEIR warehouse, not the supplier i originally had it collected from. (And they could not even confirm when this would be.) Also, they would only dispatch it from there when i had paid additional delivery costs to a new address or back to my supplier, even though their website allowed me to book that size parcel to the UPS centre near me. It's Monday morning and I need the parcel asap. The parcel may only get returned to the supplier by Tuesday if I'm lucky - then i need to re-arrange a collection on Wednesday to arrive Thursday. And this is if I'm lucky and all runs smoothly. And also, only if i pay again for the return deliver and for the re-delivery. So if all goes well - i may get the Parcel week later than originally planned and at 3 times the costs!!! I cant risk re-ordering another set from the supplier due to the costs and return charges of the items so i have no choice but to rely on parcel hero to resolve this. They insist that the customer must pay the for the refused delivery even though it is their mistake. Read reviews on more than one review site about this company. And remember that most good reviews are fake. Its the bad reviews that should speak the loudest.

This seems to have become a recurring occurrence in recent months with the couriers trying to take extra money. Every time we ship a parcel abroad we are emailed with an extra charge saying the parcel is larger than the dimensions we entered. Because of this we take photos of every parcel so that we can prove it when they ask, we did this for this parcel and were then told it did not count as the shipping label was not in the photo - This has never previously been asked for an obviously just a scan to take extra money

Failed to deliver parcel. It is now 8 days after the promised delivery and still no trace of the parcel. The customer service is sporadic and cannot answer any questions, all they do is blame the courier (Hermes in this case). They initially blamed the the non delivery on the address that was used (Even though it is the same address that has been used many times before and Google maps finds the property quite simply) It is bad enough that the parcel wasn't delivered (I understand that mistakes do happen) but then, after letting the customer down, to rub salt in the wound by ignoring emails and just blaming the courier and not giving any updates or revised delivery dates is inexcusable. Check out the reviews on this site and any other review sites and you will see that I am not alone in being let down by this inept company,

I was a gold level account holder and used them regularly and this is what is ridiculous about the whole situation. To summarise we had a missed collection going to the USA and in the run up to Christmas every day lost is critical. I contacted them and was told they would collect the following day and as expected they again failed to collect. Although far from happy it is not Parcel Hero's fault the courier did not collect so I told them to cancel the shipment as the parcel would be leaving on our regular DHL collection. Although more expensive we could not afford to mess around any more. But then they tell me there is a £5.00 surcharge in the refund !!!! I was furious and explained that we had been let down and therefore shouldn't they be trying their best to appease an angry customer not inflaming the situation. To cap it off they then charged £6.00 not the £5.00 originally quoted It was at this point they stopped replying to emails, I then gave them 3 more chances over the next 5 days to respond and justify their policies before I made my feelings public and ceased to use there services. Obviously our business is not important to them and neither is their public profile. Yet another short cited, cash hungry, dishonest bunch of chancers masquerading as a legitimate company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Disgusting. I paid £80 to Parcel Hero to send a parcel. Parcel Hero sends via UPS so instead of contacting me directly when they broke my parcel, UPS contacted Parcel Hero who were 'understaffed', my parcel was sent back to me 'as requested by sender' ie Parcel Hero didn't get back to them because they couldn't get through to Parcel Hero (I would have just had it continue on to its destination). They didn't get back to me for 3 days by which point I had thrown away broken items and had no chance of disputing a claim. ANYWAY after many emails/calls trying to explain to robots who kept repeating the same thing, I am £80 down and Parcel Hero REFUSES to take responsibility. They want me to pay another £80 to send the parcel. As if I would ever give them my money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT HONOUR THE INSURANCE, WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF IT. FRAGILE PACKAGES ARE THROWN ABOUT AND ARRIVE DAMAGED. DESPITE HAVING BOUGHT THE INSURANCE FOR THIS THEY DO NOT PAY OUT, DO NOT TURN UP FOR COLLECTION, AND WHEN THEY DO STAFF PICK UP AND DROP FRAGILE PACKAGES ON THE GROUND. SERIOUSLY UNHELPFUL STAFF AND APPAENTLY ONLY ANSWER TO THEMSELVES, THERE IS NOONE ABOVE THE LINE MANAGER, SHE ANSWERS TO NO ONE APPENTLY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They came back demanding double of original money by lying that sizes where not accurate. Went again in their site with same accurate dimensions and was represented with exactly the same deliver charge I payed originally. On their claim they sent me a different webpage link to input dimensions which resulted in astronomically different weight outcome of 40.32kg (mine was just 7.5kg medium size packet). Think they do this in purpose to sell first then come bak for more! Have a play with their hidden tool volumetric-weight-calculator

Hi I have had a similar experience and refusing to pay - how has your case end up, have you paid?

I had to pay, but with taking to Watchdog and Facebook I got part of my money back. Email Watchdog with your story and continually post your story on Facebook like I have done above. They'll soon get fed up and pay part or all back.
Let me know when you are posting on Facebook and I'll share.
Good luck.
