Sym DD50 50

I bought a sym dd50 scooter model 2006 on January 2013, and so far I have no problem with the scooter, although it is a 7 years vehicle. The 2 stroke engine is power enough when compared to the other brand of 50cc scooters(especially the China scooter with 4 stroke engine). The tork & top speed is sufficient enough to make you move along with other vehicle in a safe conditions when you are in a highways (but you must make sure you are always on the right side though). It is my commuter to class every day and every week i have to go to my lab which is 10 miles away from my campus. The fuel consumption is so cheap. I always fuel up to 4 dollars for almost 2 weeks - really cheap. The lamp, ignition, the body even the sticker full with shine and the lamp are working perfectly. It is worth for your money to buy this scooter second hand with the same price you can get a new scooter by China made. I would suggest anyone to buy this scooter, although it is a second hand.

I chose this scooter initially because I am short in stature & it is low to the floor so I felt more stable and the storage under the seat was adequate. However I would never buy a sym scooter again. It has been very unreliable. It has lost power on several occasions and fails to start on a regular basis.

i`ve got my DD 50 2 month ago. Very low milage, about 600 miles/1000km. It was restricted, but a 0.85 mm main jet and the exhaust pipe sorting made it derestricted. There is a side pipe coming off the exhaust, that needs cutting off, and the hole welding up. It will improve your top speed and acceleration, by about 6-7 mph/9-11 kph. it will happily cruise at 35mph/56kph. I like the filler cap/seat release/lock combo, the wheels are a bit too small, so ride is a bit choppy, but ather that that it is ok. Breaks are good, the front can lock up easyli, so be careful. I like the kikcstart/electrick start combo too. Don`t like the indicators, can snap off easily. I also like the huge storage and the petroltank under the floor.I would recomended to anyonewho needs a cheep town runaround.

The sym DD50 is the modern day version of the Honda Elite. Excellent build quality. Zips, Rexy and Jog bikes in general may be brute in demeanor but, they stand tall and are clumsy looking. The DD50 is the smooth and slick David, while the others are big for nothing Goliaths. Anyone can see that! Until the Elite returns, if ever..... The SYM DD50 is Ferrari amonst Hyundais!

The Sym DD50 50 is a great bike untill you need parts then they are dear or you cant find them

I did my first CBT on the Sym DD 50 and then really wanted to buy one but got given a sym jet euro x instead, (which is even better).

The only problem was that going round a roundabout I actually switched the engine off, but that is the only problem, good little bike.

Overall a great little runner, only had it a month and getting on with it very well.

Overall Great little runner, still running the machine in. Looking to get it de-restricted once I have done that and looking for a little more speed when needed. Can't really knock it that much great value for money.

Overall a very good ride, hardly uses petrol. And genrally good fun on the road. Very easy to use, reliable, enjoyable to ride.

I really like the Sym DD50 because it is really reliable no matter how old they get I own 30 dd50 myself for a business in Hawaii that by choosing this product, you can't go wrong.
