Kymco People S 200

Bought this Kymco with 4000 Km on it (2010) In august 2013

Type Peoples 200i. This is the injection model.

Actually it is a 163cc engine not a 200cc. Misleading, but you will not notice it in performance. Aircooled with fuel injection (AFI)

New price was around 3100-3300 Euro (2010) Bargain at 1350 euro (2013)

I bought this low Km used bike in almost new condition.

After a good service, done by myself I adjusted valves, checked brakes and replaced airfilter and oils (10w-40 CastrolRS) and 75w90 Gear, all synthetics.

The overal finish is good, very good modern dash, odo, trip and time added,partially digital, wich is very well lit at night,

A small glove box, A small underseat room, My helmets don't fit. Need a BIG topbox. So standard luggageroom is not enough.

Front and rear perfect discbrakes, powerfull engine. Perfect Large wheels.

Starts perfectly. Thanks to injection? No kickstart! Flat battery? Walk home....

The seatheight is high and room is good. For my 1m85 seating is comfortable, even with passenger it is O.K.

Driving is great. Very powerfull and direkt respons to throttle! Well silenced it is a wolf in sheepscloth. Acceleration is great. Max speed is around 100-110 Km/hr that is real speed, for the meter much too positive.

On the highway sufficient for the slow lane. No problem.

The standard small windscreen is a great idea and helps a lot to get windpressure of you. Larger screens are available in different sizes. The seat is on the hard side, a little tilted front. So you may end up wiggling to the front.

Dampers front is on the hard side. To hard for me. Maybe change to other fork-oil or change / modify spring here? Rear is good in softest setting.

Lights are fine.

Fuel tank is only 6 liters. With an estimated 3l /100km a 200-250 radius is provided. Room for servicing valves is ample. A technical bike thanks to the injection and it's electronics.....

Pro: Fast and direct acceleration, large wheeled, large size. Good lights Good brakes,fuel-njection, great dashboard. Partly Led lights.b Silent but powerfull. Seating is relatively high. Good windscreen.

Contra: Little luggageroom, hard front dampers.No kick start.

Long term remains to be seen. Just did a few hundred Km's... This Kymco uses the honda GY 6 style (large) engines but kymco style. Finish is in general decent to very good...
