I looked up their site first and then called them as the hourly rates were good/competitive. Little did I know what was waiting for me.
1) On talking to the owner, one of the two brothers, he was trying to increase price from what was advertised. Advertised was £20 per lesson (for AUtomatic) & he was asking for £25. It also advertised that the first class was free. Did not get that as well.
2) Absolutely unprofessional - They pick up/drop students on the way and so if your class is 2 hours then they drop u an hr after your class ends. This is because the new student is picked up from their place and it takes them while to drop you back to your place.
3) Was initially told that they would get you ready in 30 hours and closer to time they make the standard excuse saying that the student is not ready, does not have the calibre etc and tries to buy more of your time.
Avoid at all costs. WASTE OF YOUR MONEY..
First of all lesson prices are subject to terms and conditions I.e if you book a certain amount you get a lower price
In regards to first lesson it’s a assessment lesson which lasts 5 mins. Sorry nothing is for free
In regards to lessons we are a busy driving school and I’m order to make our availability higher we get the other student to drive you back which is about 10 mins. It’s good for confidence and practice
We have had students that pass in 20 hours and some in 50 hours DVSA recommends 62 hours practice
Way we see it is everyone is individual
First of all prices are subject to terms and conditions
First lesson is not free as nothing is for free also it’s a assessment which of for 5 mins
In regards to how many lessons it takes to pass depends on the individual
We have had a student that has past as a novice in 20 hours and we have had students where it takes 50 hours
Dvsa recommends 62 hours
