Driving instructor
A great driving instructor, he was patient and always asked what I wanted to work on in each lesson and explained everything clearly and in great detail.

Gateshead Pass n Go is highly recommended
He is an excellent instructor. I learnt a lot in a short time and was felt very confident and relaxed. He is easy to talk to and helped me as much as possible. He went out of his way many times to fit my lessons in, and especially my test which the DVSA re-arranged at short notice. I highly recommend him for anyone who wants driving lessons

Driving
He is an excellent teacher—calm, patient, and very effective in his approach. He doesn’t just teach us how to drive; he takes the time to understand how we think while driving. This helps him correct not just our actions, but our mindset, which has made a big difference in how I drive. His explanations are clear and easy to understand, and he makes sure we truly grasp each concept before moving on. One of the biggest things he helped me with was overcoming my fear of driving. Thanks to his support and guidance, I now feel much more confident behind the wheel. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful, supportive and extremely well composed driving instructor.

Great experience and journey to full driving license
My driving instructor from the start he was very open and helpful, offered valuable insight and feedback that allowed me to grow and improve my skills. By the time I booked my test I was confident that I can manage any situation as he explained what I did wrong in a genuine and encouraging way, not leaving room for errors and pushing for very high standards when it came to road safety and good driving practice. I couldn’t be more happy with how the lessons went every week.

Started in May 2024, passed in March 2025!
I started learning to drive around May of 2024 and passed March 2025. He is a very good instructor, I started with absolutely 0 experience and knowledge of cars and driving and by the end of it, I'd like to think of myself as a confident driver now. He is very patient with me, flexibe with his timetable and very supportive, despite a few setbacks on my end. He always ensured he did his best for me to make sure I passed and I did! So I have him to thank :) I would definitely recommend Pass N Go for their cheap (ish) prices and great instructors.

Q&A
How do I get a refund, or can I change my instructor?
Before l paid, l cannot get the information that how long l need to wait. After l paid for it, they just told me l have to wait for a 6-8week and did not told me what will happen if there were still no instructors available after 8 weeks. I would like to get my refund but the customer service told me their conditions and terms will not provide any refund after payment. It it too unfair for the customers. I just wanna know how can l get my money back?
Hello, I have had this happen to me recently.
If you paid by credit card.. you plan on making a section 75 claim with your credit card company under the consumer Rights Act and that you plan to also seek advice from the Financial Ombudsman Service.
If you paid by debit card, mention that you are aware of your consumer rights and that you intend to seek advice from the Ombudsman Service.
Mention negative rep for the company with how they handle refunds and that you intend to voice this on Trust Pilot so others can be made aware.
I got my refund back after this.
If not as sucessful.. do actually reach out to the Ombudsman Service for advice.
I bought a block booking online last year and due to bad health and other things have not taken any lessons yet.
I have being told that I now have to pass my theory test before I can take any lessons of them, I have until 26th march to do this.
Does anyone know why I have to pass my theory before taking any lessons? As I have had lessons years ago and never had my theory passed. I am not loosing all this money and 30 hours driving lessons.
Why do you have until the 26th? Does your block booking include your practical test, if so you have to pass your theory before you can take the practical so if you was planning an intensive group of lessons pre test it would be wasted if you hadn't passed the theory.
Would anyone recommend the 10 hour intensive course? Not sure 10 hours will be enough to pass but not wanting to pay for more lessons than needed. Thank you
I would'nt touch Pass 'n' Go with a barge pole. I had a very poor service from them. When they have your money they don't care about you, and they don't offer refunds. They cancel lessons regularly or don't even bother turning up. Use someone else.
Has any one actually had a refund from pass and go? I've read t&c but it only states refunds are not given if you are the reason why lessons are not done, my husband booked the 20 hour intensive course and every lesson has been rescheduled including the actual test. It's taken from the beginning of September to complete 4 lessons and test to be rebooked if we knew it would take this long we would of just gone private.
How much are block lessons of 10 for a beginner?
I think it was about £130 for the first 10 hours then £180 for every block of 10 hours after that.. prices may have changed now though so you might need to check the website. Also each lesson is 2 hours, I don't think they do less than that but for me it was very good because I got a good amount of driving done in a lesson :) I passed over a year ago after about 45 hours worth of lessons - had first test which I failed after 35-ish hours but it was thunder and lightning so wasn't ideal for a beginner driver lol - took a 6 month break then had second test after another 10 hours or so worth of lessons which I passed :)
I just wanted to know if many people have taken the crash course? I'm looking at the 40 hours one. Is it worth it? Does it have a good pass rate? Any information would be great. Thanks
Oh and to answer your other question you have to pass your theory before you do your crash course.
