Amazing Experience - I passed first time!
Can’t rate driveJohnson’s high enough. I turned 17 in May 2025 and booked a 30 hour course in Milton Keynes – just passed first time and I’m buzzing.
It’s not just me either. Both my sisters learnt with them and also passed first time, plus 5 of my mates have done the same. That kinda record says it all really.
He was brilliant – patient, easy to get on with and explained things so it made sense. He pushed me when I needed it but never made me feel stressed. The 30 hour intensive was perfect, covered everything step by step, and by the time my test came around I felt totally ready.
Booking with driveJohnson’s was simple, no hassle, and the whole process just felt smooth from start to finish. Honestly I’d heard learning to drive can be stressful, but with these guys I actually enjoyed the lessons and looked forward to them.
So yeah – if you want a driving school that’s reliable, friendly and actually gets you passed, I’d 100% recommend driveJohnson’s. Massive thanks to the team!

Passed first time
Learning to drive was honestly a bit stressful before I found driveJohnson’s, but my instructor from Stevenage made it so easy. He was super patient, which I never got with my previous instructors. I always felt rushed or stressed before, but he just explained everything really clearly and made sure I understood before moving on.
He was great at breaking stuff down, like roundabouts, parking, and tricky junctions, and he would change how he taught if I wasn’t getting it. I think that’s why I actually felt confident pretty quick. Plus, he was really encouraging, always cheering on little wins, which made lessons way more fun.
Thanks to him, I passed my driving test first time, which honestly feels amazing. I feel way more confident driving now and yeah I probably drive better than most lol, not trying to be cocky.
Overall, driveJohnson’s were amazing, and I’d def recommend them if you’re in Stevenage. Seriously, if you get him as your instructor, you’re in good hands.

Big shout out to driveJohnsons
Honestly can’t thank driveJohnson’s enough. After getting totally messed around with RED (cancellations, no proper comms, just wasting my time), I switched over and driveJohnson’s got me booked in super quick and easy. Whole process was stress free compared to what I’d been through before.
Big shout out to my instructor in High Wycombe – absolute legend. He made every lesson clear, relaxed and actually enjoyable. Didn’t just tell me what I did wrong, he explained things in a way that made sense and kept me confident all the way through. Proper patient, reliable, no messing about with cancellations like I had before.
Because of driveJohnson’s I ended up passing my test first time and way quicker than I thought I would. If you’re serious about passing and want a school that actually cares, I’d 100% recommend them. If you’re in High Wycombe – you won’t regret it!

driveJohnson's knew exactly how to get the best out of me
I don’t usually leave reviews, but passing my test first time with driveJohnson’s after just 18 hours is too good not to shout about. Most people I know are still slogging through 30 or 40 lessons (some even more), and I managed to get it done quicker than it takes them to figure out the clutch.
From day one, he knew exactly how to get the best out of me. No wasting time on boring “drive around the block” stuff — every lesson was structured, focused, and actually useful. He had me driving confidently and naturally way faster than I ever expected.
Confidence? Sky-high. Test route knowledge? Perfect. Teaching style? No messing around, straight to the point — exactly what I needed. He gave me everything I needed to absolutely smash the test on my first attempt, and that’s exactly what happened.
The driveJohnson’s set-up makes things simple too — easy booking, loads of resources on the app — but honestly, the biggest brag is still passing in 18 hours, first go. Thanks, I pulled it off, and now I’ve got bragging rights over mates still stuck in lessons months later.

First Time Pass with Just 2 Minors – A Huge Thank You
I’m absolutely delighted to say that I passed my driving test first time with only two minor driver faults, and I owe it entirely to the amazing teaching and guidance from my instructor, at driveJohnson’s Driving School.
From the very first lesson, he put me completely at ease. Learning to drive can feel overwhelming at the start, but his calm, professional, and friendly manner made every session something to look forward to rather than something to dread. He has a real talent for explaining things in a way that’s easy to understand. Every manoeuvre, road situation, and technique was broken down step-by-step, so I always felt in control of my learning.
One thing that really impressed me was how much he tailored each lesson to suit my individual progress. He didn’t just follow a set plan — he adapted the pace and content depending on what I needed most at the time. If I was confident in one area, we’d move on to something new. If I was struggling with a particular skill, such as roundabouts or clutch control, he would patiently work through it with me until it felt natural. That personal approach made such a difference.
His encouragement was a massive boost to my confidence. Even when I made mistakes, he never made me feel bad about them — instead, he helped me understand what went wrong and how to fix it. This meant I was constantly improving without ever feeling disheartened. His feedback was always constructive and delivered in a way that motivated me to do better.
Another thing that helped enormously was the mock tests we did before the real thing. He recreated the test environment so I knew exactly what to expect, from the format to the examiner’s instructions. These mock tests were incredibly useful for spotting any weak points and ironing them out before the big day. By the time my actual test came around, I felt calm, prepared, and ready to drive at my best.
When the examiner told me I had passed first time — with just two minor faults — I was over the moon. It felt like such an achievement, and I know I couldn’t have done it without his expertise and support. He didn’t just teach me how to pass; he taught me how to drive safely, confidently, and responsibly for life.
I would wholeheartedly recommend driveJohnson’s to anyone looking to learn to drive. He is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about his students’ success. He goes above and beyond to make sure you leave every lesson feeling more confident than when you started.
Thank you, for making my learning experience so positive, rewarding, and successful. Passing first time was the best feeling — and it’s all thanks to you!

My Instructor Took Cash Only. Refused To Take Bank
My instructor took cash only. Refused to take bank transfer or PayPal. He charged me over the policy rates, which I only found out when I called the agency.
He refused to give me the refund on the price difference because I cancelled on 2 occasions. One being cancer related and the other being a miscommunication between both parties.
I would not recommend this place. Absolute sham artists of instructors hired here. Fazul Rahmani from Morden. Stay clear of this instructor.

Bad Instructors
Had an instructor I paid them £290 for 10 lessons which were compressed into 2 hours sessions, I had not driven for a while and it gave me headaches. The instructor was deliberately not teaching me, he kept trying to make me drive the way I did before, I needed help not take him out for a drive! On one occasion I nearly went into a road not know there was a bend the instructor did not correct me. It appears all driving instructors are interested in is the money side, I recommend get your family members to teach you then take your test lessons only if these instructors do not turn up report them for taking your money with no results! I have been left too afraid to drive now because of this firm who clearly do not care about what they teach the people who pay them! I will reporting them.
Uncompassionate Instructor & Inconsiderate Company
I had a medical emergency with my daughter and gave my instructor 1:15 minutes advance notice of having to go to A&E. She was annoyed I had to go to A&E with my daughter and insisted on rescheduling for the same day whilst I would be at A&E and insisted the cancellation policy is 24 hours - no further option. I raised a complaint with DriveJohnsons with proof of A&E calls and Uber receipt but they refused to help further as its at the discretion of driving instructor. I lost £64 for a situation I couldn't control - no compassion whatsoever.
Be careful with what you do here esp. if you are booked with Hatifa in Pinner!

Would Give Zero Stars If I Could
I would give zero stars if I could. This company is bad, do not give them your money. I paid for 11 classes. I got only 3. The first teacher I was given, struggled to communicate in English. I tried but after two lessons, I had to ask for a new teacher. The second teacher not only struggled with communication in English, but also traveled abroad for an extended period of time and was unreachable. When I asked for another teacher, I was told that the £330 I had paid for 11 lessons had expired, after 3 lessons! And I would get neither money nor lessons. They claim to train celebrities and Formula 1 drivers, but they are very hard to reach and provide poor service. This company is a sham, give them money at your own risk.

Passed First Time
My driving instructor was incredible. Not only did he help me pass my test, but he was able to explain to me how I can improve with certain aspects of my driving. He was also a very friendly person, which made me less nervous when getting into the car in the early stages of my driving.
