E-go Or Not E-go
The story of an E-Go mover and a twin axle van. Yes, I purchased an E-Go as it is a very good mover for the price, I expected it to work just the same as they do on a single axle van, they don't, and I can say that although I was assured that it was up to the job, I had no end of problems when trying to turn the van as it would just cut out. I was however trying to manoeuvre the van by following the operating instructions, which was my first mistake, kicking the van, mover or the next door cat didn't help either,(the first 2 just hurt my foot). I was not a happy bunny, so I phoned up my supplier and was told "Ah yes there has been a bit of a problem with this, have you tried using the left and right buttons to go forward at the same time instead of the forward button" this I had to say no to, to me forward is the forward button and left is left and right is right, (second mistake) I was also told "to turn keep both buttons depressed and release which ever button to turn, this way you can still go forward and turn at the same time, more or less". Trying this I found that the mover worked fine. so if anyone has an E-Go mover on a twin axle van, use the 2 buttons to go forward and release one intermittently to turn, this stops the van trying to scrub tyres sidewards. A good mover that needs a new instruction book that includes this workaround.
I was only joking about the cat, it was too fast for me.

I Recently Purchased A New Caravan Motor Mover As
I recently purchased a new Caravan Motor mover as we had no end of problems getting it on the drive, after looking on the net i choose to purchase the Ego caravan motor mover. which i think looks the best out of all the movers i have seen it looks like it is build for the job and not put together with some bits of metal and some springs, also the ego caravan motor mover is applied with an electric drill as apposed to the cam system which i think is quite difficult to put on and i am quite able bodied if you were getting on a bit i think it would be very difficult, we had Tourertechs in Weston super mare come and carry out the installation and tey also carried out my service on the caravan at the same time we paid £799.00 for the motor mover and tourertechs come out and fitted it on site which took a couple of hours i would recommend the ego movers and also tourertechs Ltd Lee did a great job of the installation and the caravan service.
I am considering buying the ego mover having used a Truma mover for many years it has not been without its problems but most of it was down to bad insufficient weather cover ( which the new ones now have) I have overcome this problem myself and it works fine but the new caravan is heavier and I need a stronger unit the review is disapointing as it says nothing about the performance of the ego mover
