I Would Like To Know Of Any Other Owners That Have
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OF ANY OTHER OWNERS THAT HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE TOILET FLUSHING? AND WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY HAVE DESIGNED IT WITH A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND FUSE INSIDE THE WASTE COMPARTMENT,THAT IS EXPOSED TO YOU WHAT!
Yes I have. The flush on my Bailey Olympus unilaterally decided to start flushing itself whenever it wanted to and refused to stop flushing until I pulled the fuse out of it. As you said crazy design. The sales guy even pointed out to me that the flush mechanism was "delicate", a euphamism for fragile and poorly designed.
We have experienced the same problem with our Pegasus 534.
Apparently it is a widespread complaint caused by the printed circuit board in the top of the toilet getting damp.
We were advised to spray the circuit board with WD40 twice a year to stop the water affecting it.Likewise it would make sense to empty the fresh water from the toilet storage tank before travelling. This will ensure that no water splashes up onto the circuit board. With regard to the fuse behind the waste tank, that should be sprayed with WD40 also to prevent damp causing problems
Hope this helps.
