Strongly recommend you DO NOT use this garage, my son travelled 2 hours to get a car, when he arrived, no car, was given excuse that gone for petrol, 3 hours later still no car, l told my son to just go back home which he did, what a waste of time, make sure you read all reviews.

A superb setup and very easy to deal with. Last of the real honest dealers and carries out the transaction to perfection.

where do I start, I cant stress enough how important it is to avoid this garage like the plague. Not only has he sold many people cars that are not road worthy but his warranty isn't worth the paper its written on and he will not do any repairs to your car. There is nothing to like about this company and everything to hate and avoid, the owner and his staff are rude and disrespectful, he is being investigated by trading standards, and has been struck off many lists of providers of finance as he has proved he is not reputable. If you entertain this company it will all end in tears beware as he is very charming to your face.

Purchased a car at the value of 6k, traded in my car at the value of 4k with the agreement my cherished plate would be xfered.

Still not had the V5 or the Cherished plate through the post and it has been over 6 months. Repeated promises and no action.

I do not own my new car and I am still the registered owner of my old car.

This has now gone to trading standards and they are investigating, I have today applied to the county court for a full refund.

If you are reading this, sort it out now before it's too late.

Do not trust spencer hannon under any circumstances. I just hope people see these reviews before dealing with him. Hes a total rip off and will charm his way into your pocket and then when you dont play ball with him he will turn very nasty. I had months of threats about my kids and unborn baby and thats just a small part of it all. Trading standards are fully aware of him already and have a huge case against him so only a matter of time now. Hes already done a stretch for money laundering and won't be long before hes back there. Ive never met anyone in my entire life like him and dont know how he can do what he does but the man is evil.

I unfortunately didnt search the internet before I put a £ 250 deposit down on a Volvo S80, 56 plate advertised at £ 4995.00. I was buying from distance, so got the salesman to 'walk me' round the car over the phone. Was told about how good the car was and that everything was working and good for the age. Said they sell between 40 - 50 Volvos a year and its a clean one. I went and did my own research, HIP, spoke to my local Volvo garage and they very helpfully gave me service history etc. It all Stacked up. So rang the garage back and put a £ 250 deposit down. I was told that the car would have an oil and filter change, a 12 month MOT, 3 month warranty and would be fully valeted. I planned to travel in a couple of days on the Saturday. I rang beforehand, as it was a 3 hour drive and he told me that the car had just had the MOT and was being valeted. When I got there, the car was blocked in by others and it was obvious it hadnt moved that morning, got inside and it hadnt be valeted, empty juice bottle still in it and was dirty. Checked the oil etc and it was black, hadnt just been done. Checked MOT and yes it had been done recently but had a list of recommendations, guess what, they owned the MOT station too so it would pass wouldnt it. Then I found the boot release didnt work and you couldnt open the boot without getting the key out the fob, getting on your hands and knees and manually find the lock. They must have known about this as they admitted that they had applied silicon to keep it dry. I raised my queries and things got very aggressive and I was told by them in no uncertain terms I wouldnt get my deposit back. Drove 3 hours for this quality customer care!! I had been seen by another salesman on the day, he did placate the situation and it was agreed that after a test drive, they would fix the car and deliver it for free. I agreed but paid no further monies. A few phone calls and what not later, they rang and admitted they couldnt fix it and offered me my deposit back. 2 weeks and a load of fobbed off phone calls later, I havent got my money back. Pursuing them through Trading Standards now and finding out that they are no strangers to them!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

You should avoid this dealer!! He is very charming until he has your cash!! I travelled for 3 hours to view the car, left a deposit to return a few days later. He promised an MOT, service, full valet and windscreen stone chips to be done prior to my collecting the car. The best I got was arriving to find the car being jet washed? No MOT given and a 3 month warranty not worth the ink it was written with!! Lots of excuses as to the non repair of the stone chips but told to take the car away and get them done in my home town, after drive home I also informed dealer of noise from rear wheels which he asked me to get an independant garage to check. Having done what he said I called but.....yes you guessed it he wasn't prepared to help financially in any way unless I took the car back for him to check. As the rear noise is a serious brake problem I was not prepared to risk driving 3 hours. Have to say, what a shame this guy (and you can check his history on Google)!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

It is not often that I write reviews for a poor service received but after dealing with 'Village Cars' in Souldrop, Bedfordshire I feel I must let others know about this extremely poor trader.

This "Trader" is a one man band based in Bedfordshire that sells fundamentally rubbish cars to unsuspecting buyers who are not careful enough to make all the right checks.

Firstly, as a word of warning, he will not let anyone test drive a car unless they are over the age of 35 (I’m 27) as his insurance won’t allow it. He can't accept card payments and uses a company next door to take payments and is not registered as a proper company. My Experience:

I drove for over 2 hours to see a car he had listed on a well known auto trading website but when looking it over noticed some issues with the electronics. As I otherwise liked the condition of the car I put a £250 deposit down to hold the car until next weekend with a written condition of sale that these issues would be repaired when I came to collect the car the following week.

I phoned 3 times over the next 7 days to make sure the issues were being dealt with and was re-assured that everything was now fixed and the car ready to collect.

Another 2 hour drive later I arrived to collect the car. I think he expected me to just pay for the car straight away and drive away but to his surprise I asked him to demonstrate that the work he promised had indeed been carried out.

He finally agreed to demonstrate that the electronics now worked but when we got in the car it became immediately apparent that all of the issues discussed had not even been looked at! The satnav air-con and heated seats were all still broken!

Obviously I did not want the car in this condition as I made clear last week. At this point the man no longer wanted to deal with me at all despite me having already paid him £250 of my hard earned money.

Next he became very aggressive and told me that as the car I was looking at was only worth £3.5k it was not worth his time to deal with properly or invest any time in before ordering me and my partner off of his property as I was not longer interested and quite rightly wanted my money back which he refused to refund in full as he apparently had a to tax the vehicle and as because I no longer wanted the car it was my expense.

This is outrageous as I was more than prepared to buy the car if it was in the condition he told me and had already wasted £50 in petrol, two Saturdays and many phone calls to check on the progress ahving been told everything was ok!

We had no choice other than to leave gutted. My partner and I wasted 2 weekends and £250 dealing with this disgraceful company and are currently in the process of claiming my deposit back in court. This man’s word is worth nothing, why he told me he would fix the issues if he was not interested is beyond me.

Avoid this place, the owner is rude, aggressive and could not be less motivated to make your experience with his company a good one!
