Lancaster Land Rover Burnham

Lancaster Burnham suffers from being a victim of their own success. Most businesses would realise this and capitalise on the opportunity.

Unfortunately Lancaster seem to lack the business acumen to grow their business and therefore just try to get by with what's seems sub standard staff. However I blame the management, their staff / Resource clearly are not part of a sufficient training regime and as such lack.....

1. Lack common decency, empathy and politeness

2. Sense of urgency

3. Required skills to do a job to uphold the LR brand

I have a 2014 Range Rover autobiography, I am meticulous with my cars, having them fully detailed twice a year.

The first visit to Land Rover they couldn't fix the interior lighting or rattling speaker but had my car for two week. I was without a courtesy car even though I booked 7 weeks in advance. It came back dirtier than it went in, disgraceful

It went in the second time, again no courtesy car, they couldn't pick it up. I dropped it and got a taxi. The car went in immaculate, they delivered it back and the entire interiors were oily and filthy and a new debt appeared on the drivers door.

I received I survey request from LR Lancaster stating how disappointed and appalled I was.

I have just had a call from the dealer principle who fails to realise most people who own a RR are usually successful and quite often intelligent people. The little twerp accused me of lying and said it couldn't of happened because they use seat cover.

Imaging receiving the call!!!

He should have soaked it up apologised and offered some sort of compensation.

Very rude so I reciprocated and told him to go fourth and multiply.

If you love your Land Rover or Range Rover do not use Lancaster the worst service by Land Rover ever received.

I have owned LR's for 20 years considering BMW or Audi next

Since The Move From Wooburn Green To Be Co-located

Since the move from Wooburn Green to be co-located in Slough (they call it Burnham...) with Stratstone Jaguar the quality of service at Stratstone Land Rover has plummeted. Stratstone Land Rover have arrogant staff (which, based on our experience, comes from the top). Stratstone Land Rover don't return calls when they promise to do so. And Stratstone Land Rover lie to you about finance/warranty packages. When we bought our new Land Rover Range Rover in 2007, the business management area of Stratstone Land Rover attempted to scare us into buying a finance package. More recently Stratstone Land Rover have made false (negative) claims about approved Land Rover extended warranties while trying to sell their own product (e.g. "more than twice the price"). On the servicing side, apart from the inability to return calls when they promise to do so, Stratstone Land Rover also damaged the car while it was with them. On collection, they promised to sort it - but then didn't call. After numerous attempts to resolve this ("I'll look into it and call you back" - no call...), we had to escalate all the way to the Dealer Principal of Stratstone Land Rover, he then tried to imply we'd done it ourselves...nice. Land Rover products are obviously selling themselves because the sales staff at Stratstone Land Rover seem to have no interest in doing so. Despite the service from Stratstone Land Rover, we love the products and were at one stage interested in buying a Land Rover Defender. Stratstone Land Rover sales staff couldn't have been more disengaged. "Since the snow, everyone wants a 4x4" - how short-sighted.
