All In It Together
Think they are all tied in together? Bought a car off HINDLEY GREEN MOTORS owend by CAM CAR SALES who do the MOT's and car sales on same plot as them, what a rip off car had been mot'd by them, 3 weeks later took into Halfords for oil/fuel service and safety check told and showed me the car was unsafe and should never have passed an mot in that time. Sure enough front brake pads failed on motorway and suspension which they showed me was all shot and had been heavy greased up to stop noise, cost me over £400 to sort as CAM CAR SALES didn't want to know. Conmen just want your money not your safety as this was a family car!!!!

Wouldn't Even Recommend To An Enemy
Worst garage ever, the salespeople blatantly lie to get a sale and deny everything later. I was told the car I was buying had 1 previous owner when it actually had 3. I was also told it had a FSH and it came with NONE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Adsheads. S&d Car Sales. Con Men And Liars Stay Away
My girlfriend. Desperately needed a car for her and two young children, both with special needs to take to various hospital and care facilities, and i, foolishly pointed her in the direction of s&d also known as adsheads, in westhoughton. We agreed on a grey nissan. We said we would pick it up at the start of the month, because it needed taxing. Also ther were some problems we knew about. ....( and some we didn't ) which they said they would put right before we took it. They said it had a sat nav built in which was faulty and would be sorted out. No, not only was it not sorted out. There wasn't even one fitted. The factory fitted cd, player doesn't work, and is a specialist job to repair, Not done. There was a puncture on the drivers side front wheel which wasn't repaired, only pumped up. Remember, they had almost two weeks to sort these problems out, and they were never touched. My girlfriend lives in Blackburn and this meens motorway driving so only a good safe sound and reliable car would fit the bill. However when we picked the car up they said the mechanics hadn't had the tme to sort out the cd and sat nav out, but if she dropped it back in sometime they would look at it. We went back twice and ther was never anybody available. But that as not the worst of it... When we picked the car up there were two more serious problems. They had to dismantle the passenger side door handle because it was the only way to get into the car as the cetral locking key was damaged. So you had to press a button on the inside tolock the doors on exit, but could only get in through the passenger door with the key. But because we had already changed the insurance over and paid for the new tax on this car, sorry half of the tax. And it did appear to be safe if not practical, and after all, they did promiss to sort ALL the problems ot asap..so we took it. Then as soon as we got on the motorway the car started shaking violently. Wev'e been told, and they agreed this was due to the front wheels being out of ballance, but said we had to put it right. We didn't agree but took it to a tyre fitter who couldn't remove the wheels because there was no locking wheel nut remover in the car. We went back to them again a weeklater because Jimmy, who we have been dealing with said they would have a tool to get them off with. ONLY TOOLS I'VE EVER SEEN THERE WALK ROUND ON TWO LEGS FOBBING PEOPLE OFF WITH LIES. But turns out the only way they could get them off was to break them off leaving the wheels short of nuts. SOMETHING THAT PLACE DEFFINATELY ISN'T SHORT OF. After waitin for four weeks and with my girlfriend, along with her children being locked out of the car in the pouring down rain. We evetually did all the work ourselves. At a cost of over £200.00. Which they have promissed to repay. We even too k a receipt to the place. All they have done is made false and evasive empty promisses to a vulnerable lady with two needy children. We have made countless phone calls along with numerous visits to the place. They promised cheques had been sent when obviously they hadn't. That money could have, and should have been spent on those poor children at christmas, not lining the pockets of those greeddy lying buggers. I hope you rot in hell. Do not buy anything from these people stay away.

I Bought A Car From S&d Car Sales An Within 2 Hour
I bought a car from S&D car sales an within 2 hours of the purchase it broke down in the middle of a busy junction. I contacted the company the next day who then told me its not their problem. I told them the car was a danger on the road for me and my family and other road users, their reply to this was "sold as seen". I have now reported them to Consumer Direct, who also said the law was on my side and i should get my bank to do a charge back for the money i spent with them.

I Purchased A Vauxhall Zafira From S & D Car Sales
I purchased a vauxhall zafira from S & D Car Sales Adsheads in April 2009 and after a couple of test drives I identified a few minor problems which I requested to be sorted before I handed over the cash. There were 3 chips in the windscreen, a very rusty exhaust cover which was half falling off, and no interior lights. Also there was no parcel shelf present which I did require but was advised by Jimmy that it had been taken out for valetting. When I arrived to pick the car up the windscreen chips had been repaired but the exhaust cover had been ripped away and not replaced ! Only as I had got down on the floor to check this or it would have gone unnoticed and they would have not replaced it. I paid and arranged to pick up the car a few days later. Everything appeared fine - a new exhaust cover in place - and I happily drove away. It wasn't until a few days later I realised the interior lights had not been fixed, I still had no parcel shelf and the cd player did not work !! I contacted them and they assured me my parcel shelf was there waiting and I arranged to take the car back for the interior lights and cd player . I dropped it off at 10 am and after several calls through the day finally picked it up at 4pm.All that had been done were the interior lights. They decided that the cd player would not be covered under the warranty but I pointed out that it had been sold to me in working order and obviously this was not the case. I arranged again to take the car in to my inconvenience - as it is a 25 mile rouond trip. I was offered a stereo which had a working cd player but no radio display - not good enough, I was then advised it would cost me £30 for it to be fixed - why should I have to pay !?!After a ridiculous amount of phone calls and no call backs from them, we agreed to split the cost as I was so fed up with the whole place, I arrived on yet another day at 11am prompt as I had been asked, and surprise surprise, the radio was not there but it was on it's way. At 11:40 and man turned up and without a word sat in my car placed the radio in and got out again. I went to pay them as agreed and requested my parcel shelf. I came to fit it in the boot only too find it was the wrong shelf - it was too small, as soon as I re-entered the garage I knew they had already been made aware of this fact - they rather sheepishly apologised and said they would get it sorted. Before I lost my temper completely I demanded my £15 back and left. That was 3 weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them and probably never will !
****** IT IS THE WORST AFTER SALES CARE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO STEER COMPLETELY CLEAR OF THIS GARAGE.
Hi, I am in the same position with the same company. I am taking them to court for refund. I would like to get touch with you about them, while I prepare my case. huiyi@env.leeds.ac.uk
I Purchased My Mondeo Estate From S & D Car Sales.
I purchased my Mondeo estate from S & D car sales. After 10 weeks I had a problem with it suddenly starting to loose power then surge power. I contacted S & D to tell them about this, they referred me to 'their repair centre' which was located off site from car sales according to the salesman who I spoke to. I have since found out that the repair centre is nothing to do with the sales department and was advised I took the car there independently when they could have looked at it on site. Categorically I did not I understood the off site mechanic was part of the S & D group as advised by them. The garage diagnosed a fault of not one but four poor quality fuel injectors. These were replaced on the 'extended warranty' which in itself is another matter. I asked why this was not repaired under their three months warranty to be told because I had taken out an extended one so this cancelled out their warranty, hence I used the warranty to the cost of £1,000.00. When I collected the car after much inconvenience and many phone calls after almost three weeks, the car seemed exactly the same as when I took it in. I tried to argue the fact the car was covered under the initial three months warranty without success. I tried to explain the car did not feel drivable. I asked if they were going to do anything about my problem, with no luck. I was advised that if the car if not fit for purpose within a six months period after purchase then the seller was obliged to replace the car with like vehicle or offer a full refund. As I say I am not fully sure if this can be enforced.
I would also comment that the car had a service with the sellers and passed a full MOT. The car 15 weeks on is as we speak having a full service where the brakes have been identified as needing urgent replacement. My personal opinion and advice would be to be aware of this when making a vehicle purchase from any used car dealer, whilst I might add I am sure the majority offer a very good service with excellent customer care. I fear I have just been very unlucky but would have expected to be treated at least a little better. At the moment my car, five weeks on, is still undergoing a complete review with the main dealer.
I am extremely disappointed with the after care and service I was given and would not under any circumstances buy another car from the above.
I have also just bought a car from these guy's. Two hours after buying it, it brok down on me in the middle of a busy junction. I called the garage the next day and they were not interested.
