Not Good

I bought a car that was only 6 months old, the deal given was different to the one agreed, the car was not up to the standard i thought it would be on the day i collected it, i could go on but i'd never use them again.

Terrible

I would recommend no one to ever go and visit Vardy in Aberdeen. Worst customer experience I have ever witnessed. They do not admit to any mistakes when they are wrong and end up scheming money.

Absolutely Disgusting

Where do I start. Vardy BMW Edinburgh

Staff extremely incompetent. So today I take my brand new BMW M2 in for its run in service. Last week it flashed up 1200 miles contact BMW so on my return to the UK I called Vardy and was told no worries just bring it in on your return. Before I left two staff members were made aware the date for delivery of the car was important as I was leaving for Germany on a supercar run an near 2400 mile journey I was assured this was all ok and that I was to send images from my adventures no issues. Today I popped in and the lady mentioned something about a cost? As every BMW I have ever bought I Always purchase service inclusive and especially when purchasing an M car I would have been mad not to. I questioned this 'cost' to be informed I did NOT have service inclusive. Originally I ordered a DCT M2 at a later date I changed my order to a Manual M2, with no heated seats, no Vardy benefits or BMW protect pack. Finally I amended this to add the heated seats back on. Never once did I request for service inclusive to be removed. Never mind two items I asked to be removed to be left on the order. Today I was informed I had no service inclusive and at some point a member of staff removed this. I was then informed it was too late to add service inclusive even if I was willing to pay?! And to kick the foot in because I went over 1200miles there's was no come or go it went past its run in check so they couldn't service it anyway?! Baring in mind on collection of the car staff was aware of this and told me there was no issue what so ever and to bring it in on my return. 3 hours spent with a manager. No solutions, not even an attempt to contact BMW UK to resolve the matter. I asked if I traded in my M2 for one they had in stock would they give me a service pack they said yes it was the only way but I'd loose money on a trade in?! So yes I broke down in tears with no options I choose to leave. I will not suffer nor pay for a staff members mistake of removing my service pack I asked for and never asked to be removed. Also to be wrongly advised regarding my first run in service of there being no issues. So grudgingly I left Vardy BMW and can say over the years having got two cars from there I will never return nor recommend them! That's not to mentioning failing to tell me BMW no longer provide 7day insurance as they thought I would have known and the salesman is just not used to saying it anymore. SO... Off to Douglas Park BMW Stirling ten minutes and guess what. Resolved. Car has been purchased within a certain amount of time Service Pack can be purchased separately no issue and booked in for Run in Service tomorrow morning. One phone call to check was all it took. Thank you to the staff at Douglas Park Stirling for assisting me. The same can not be said for Vardy BMW Edinburgh. I can only suggest your salesmen check requirements before saying things are ok to do, informing customers fully about changes to BMW protocol and investigating fully options before leaving customers to leave the showroom with no options and in tears. Share if you wish. An official complaint has been sent to BMW UK.

Subsequent to my initial review I would also comment that my review is listed on this site as it is dam near impossible to comment on the company site.I wonder why.

Birkenside

Having had dealings with this crowd in the last few months,I call them a crowd as they are certainly not a professional company,I can only agree with the comments made.As a business once they get your order that's it forget anything else in particular customer care.If you dare to question anything they become very aggressive ,the company ethos,a stance taken as this is the only way ,they would appear to be trained to answer any issue out of the norm. With regard to my own issue which strangely enough also involves an M2 model this has still to be resolved a matter which I will now have resolved sooner rather than later.

In summary I fully endorse your review .

Peter Vardy Vauxhall, Avoid

I have been buying new cars for 20 years now, And i must say that Peter Vardy Vauxhall Aberdeen has to have the worst customer Service ever.

Bought the new car a year ago now. Was lied to again and again over delivery dates. Finally told 4 weeks later that it would be in on this day at lunch time. The day before i was due to collect. I was told the car was not even in the country WTF!!!!!

New delivery day arranged and one hour before collection was told the car was still over 200 miles away. Finally collected the car at 9pm that night along with 3 other very unhappy customers. Upon checking the car i noticed i had not received the spare wheel i had paid for, informed the handover person, Was told rather sharply that its an extra you need to pay for. Yeah i did check the paperwork. They managed to get hold of a spare wheel for me there and then. I quickly removed the emergency tire repair kit they give you instead. But before i could give it to someone it was snatched from my hands and i was told you don't get that as well.

Anyway It has just been for its 1 year service. And has customer service improved.....

No it has not. I went to collect the car after being told it was ready. I had to sit and wait for 25-30 mins before someone bothered to deal with me. They knew i was waiting. It had been paid for already i only needed the key.

I was strongly advise anyone reading this and thinking about buying anything from them to go elsewhere.

Failed Mot And Bogus Repairs

My 4.5 year old Range Rover sport failed its MOT at Peter Vardy Land Rover Aberdeen. £1500 to to correct the critical items £2200 if I took the advisories as well. Took it to another garage and it passed, the correct the advisories is £270.

A combination of rude staff and ripping off customers is no way to run a business, even in a city like Aberdeen where they have the sole franchise. Needless to say I am now an ex-customer.

Peter Vardy Vauxhall, Aberdeen - Awful Customer Service

Noted an interest in a used vehicle that had just arrived and arranged a test drive. On attending for the test drive discovered that the car had been lent out to another customer - no notification of this was received prior to turning up for the test drive. Another test drive was rearranged but several hours before this I was notified that the card had been sold - well I suppose at least they notified me this time! Now taking business elsewhere due to their complete lack of customer service.

Peter Vardy Vauxhall Aberdeen - Avoid, Avoid, Avoid

Used this dealer a lot when it was Vauxhall Belmont, and bought a number of vehicles. Then they changed to Peter Vardy. The Vauxhall range of cars is good, and the prices Vardy's offer on their new Vauxhalls are very competitive. However....

Do not be tempted! Their service department is absolutely dire. Having used them for around 8 years, we have finally decided enough is enough and taken our business elsewhere. It would take too long to describe all the various issues we have had, but in a nutshell, I would highlight: advising us to get work that didn't need done, not doing work that did need done, charging for warranty repairs, doing chargeable work without getting authorisation.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that every business makes mistakes or has an off day. However you would expect some measure of resolution when you complain. Frankly, you'll be lucky if you can even get through to them on the phone. Worse, their Service Manager seems to change every month ( perhaps indicative of deeper issues ) so there is never anybody willing to take responsibility or see your issue through.

My advice, save yourself the stress and buy elsewhere.
