Sold Me A Dangerous Unroadworthy Car
Bought a Volvo S40 2Litre Diesel Reg 2007 from them earlier this year. Got me to test drive in bumper to bumper traffic on a dark evening and when I asked to take it on clearer roads was told it's all rush hour traffic at that time. Salesman kept bragging about how much better than his Range Rover this Volvo was. I naively took his word for the car, and bought it. On way home next day when I picked it up, when braking the steering was juddering violently and I was really frightened the car would not stop. They had closed for the day and when I called them salesman said he'd been driving it for weeks and there was nothing wrong with car but if I wasn't happy to bring car back for a check. Took car back next day and they sent it to their mechanic but refused to tell me where it had gone and when I called I was made to feel that I should just wait for them to call me back. 5 days I was left without a car. I picked up car and it was still juddering. The next day the brake fluid warning light had also come on. Afraid of driving it too far, I took it to a local garage who told me I was not allowed to drive this car as brake fluid was leaking and brake discs were warped and one tyre had a deep slash on the interior wall. The mechanic talked to Oakwood Motor Sales Mansfield Woodhouse telling them he would allow me to drive this car to them and to send a tow truck. Instead of forking out for the extra expense, OOakwood Motor Sales Mansfield Woodhouse agreed to pay cost to my local garage to make the car roadworthy on phone but after the work was done and I paid the £312 Oakwood Motor Sales Mansfield Woodhouse never refunded me. Avoid buying a car from Oakwood Motor Group Mansfield Woodhouse, also trading as LH Motors unless you want to risk your life.
