Read Before Buying A Car From Lookers Blackburn

I recently attempted to buy a car from Lookers Blackburn. Emailed them the day before and was told it was available, called them at 17:00 the next day to ask if it was still available, told it was. Told them I was proberbly going to buy it because I had tested one before, I told them if I drove over to them now, it might take me an hour to get there. I was told they close it 19:00 so it would not be a problem and they they would look out for me. Arrived at 18:25 due to traffic on M60/66. Looked over the car and was very please with it. Went into the office with the salesman and commenced paperwork for my trade in. During this time I divulged I was a cash buyer. The salesman asked me to go with him to check out my trade in car. This took 20 mins, returned to the office with the agreed and signed paperwork. I was left alone for a few minutes while salesman went to take the paperwork to the used car manager and to get the keys for a test drive of the nearly new car. Not long after I first arrived I noticed a young couple arrive a little after me, Because there were no other customers around. The young couple looked around the lot and then went into the office and I saw them talking with one of the other salesman. By this time at least one hour had passsed since I had commenced my purchase. The salesman returned to me to announce the car I thought I was buying had just been sold to the other couple. To say I was a bit annoyed would be an understatement. The morale of this sorry tale is cash is king until someone comes along and wants a finance deal where the profit margin for Lookers is greater. Draw your own conclusions from this but Lookers is best avoided.

Slow And Poor Customer Care

Dealership demonstrated a shocking lack of customer care - failing to follow up on a px deal in a timely fashion and subsequently selling the car in question several hours later with not so much as a courtesy call. Left a very nasty taste in the mough. So if you're happy to deal with people that are just there to get their 'numbers' then carry on. I for one would not touch with a badge pole again
