J Brake & Son, Ilminster, Somerset

I purchased a Ford Focus C Max 1.6 TDCi, 2004 plate, almost 8 months ago from J Brake and Son, Ilminster, Somerset. They gave me an excellent trade-in price for a 3 year old Nissan Almera. The trade-in value was so attractive that I would not have gotten anymore money by trying to advertise locally or on the Autotrader website. The trade-in value was surprising, as this is a Ford dealer. The Nissan was a great car but needed more space as we had a new arrival.

After a month the car developed a problem with the stereo. The passenger side speakers decided they were going to play havoc with the noise coming out and sound like an old style gramophone. We lived with the problem for months by moving the stereo balance to the right. Finally I got around to contacting Brake & Son and was told to bring it in for a check over.

It was suspected the speakers were at fault in the front passenger door and was booked in for the speakers to be changed at a later date.

As it turned out it was the stereo at fault. The stereo was changed for an updated model and the problem was fixed without any quibbles. The door panels were replaced without bits of trim missing or broken. A very minor problem with the electric window was also fixed that I did not even know about as the air conditioning works so well and the mechanic even took the time and thought to write the new audio security code in the user hand book which was hidden away in the glove compartment.

J Brake and Son is a family run business that prides itself on customer satisfaction. They provided me with a first class service and I will have no hesitation in recommending them to friends, family, work colleagues and anyone reading this.
