Don't Go Near These Guys. In Brief: I Order A
Don't go near these guys. In brief:
I order an engine in November '09, promised delivery within 2 weeks.
Engine does not arrive until mid Jan'10.
Fitting work begins, and I find that they have supplied the wrong engine.
Old engine and replacement engine go back to International for them to swap all components, to be sure second engine is correct one.
Re-built engine comes back, but is missing various small, but important components.
Engine fitted to vehicle. Discover that it has a) a cracked cylinder head and looses water, b) timing is out.
Take vehicle to International for them to fix both problems. I return after a week to fnd that neither problem has been fixed. I leave it with them another 2 weeks, and return to be told that the cyclinder head is not cracked, and that the water loss was caused by a leaking water hose. No-one can show me the new hose they claim to have fitted, and my keys are held until I pay for a repair that has not been done. I call the police, but they don't come. Because my van is being held to ransom, I have no choice but to pay.
Of course, as I'm driving home I find that the water leak issue has not been fixed, nor is the timing!
Van goes to main dealer for diagnosis, and with their report in hand and after threatening legal action, International finally agree to replace the engine FOC.
Two months later, after waiting for International to get another engine ready (they never answer emails or calls) the van goes back to have new engine fitted. I'm told it will take 5 days.
Two weeks later, I return to collect the van.
I drive the van away.... 20 miles down the road the sump plug falls out and all engine oil drains out.
5 hours and 2 AA men later, I set off again. 30 miles later... the engine stops running and develops a loud knock. Another AA man and 3 hours later, we have fixed a deisel leak caused by a bolt only being hand tight, and the engine mount also found to be only hand tight.
Again I take the van to a main dealer for diagnosis - and they find numerous faults with the engine, all International's fault, INCLUDING THE TIMING BEING OUT!
These cowboys have cost me thousands. Communication is terrible, work is shoddy and fals promises handed out like confetti.
DO NOT GO NEAR THEM

I Purchased An Engine With International Care Spar
I purchased an engine with International Care Spares on my credit card and as per the agreement the old engine was returned, a couple of days late.
International car spares took the £400 from my credit card as the engine was not returned (but it was)
After at least 50 phone calls and International agreeing they have the engine we still cannot get out £400 back.
I have now taken out leagal proceeding against International.
Use them at your own risk.

Speak as you find - I promised International Car Spares that I would take the time to write a review on my recent experience dealing with them, good or bad after having read the reviews on this site prior to purchase, so here goes - After buying a "dodgy" car from a private seller who knew excatly what he was selling me, I was very wary on wasting anymore money, but as I couldnt afford the 4 new injectors! I held my nose and jumped in buying second hand parts from this company. (None of the reviews were good for any of the dismantlers I received from a search company) International reassured me every step of the way, quickly answered numerous emails, gave a lengthy warrantee, delivered on time and supplied numerous documents verifying the authenticity of the parts. These review sites can do a lot of damage to a companies reputation, like I say speak as you find and my experience of dealing with them was very good indeed. Thank you

I Would Suggest That People Think Twice Before Buy
I would suggest that people think twice before buying a car from International Cars Sales in Oldham. I had a very bad experience after buying my car here, but maybe others will have better experience.
