After taking out a lease on a Jeep Grand Cherokee with this company on a 3 year term , I now find that the vehicle is due for its first year service so I checked with Jeep head office does this need to be done by a main dealer to keep within its warranty terms , to which I have an e mail response stating that it does NOT , but Jeep main dealer parts must be used and the service book stamped .

I therefore obtained a quotation locally for these works ( oil change , oil filter change and a pollen filter change ) .

However , I thought it best to check with the company who leased the vehicle to me ( FCA fleet . a sister company of Jeep ) who told me that it DOES have to be a main dealer ?? . I obtained a quotation from a jeep main dealer for £428 for these works !!!!! .

I got in touch with FCA fleet to ask why ( as in their terms it clearly states that the vehicle has to be maintained and serviced within manufacturers guidelines - which was the e mail stating that it can be done locally ) However after some 10 e mails and countless chasing up of different 'managers' at FCA fleet , they are still stating that it must be a main dealer.

I would advise anybody who is thinking about leasing a vehicle to firstly look at the terms , but definitely DO NOT USE this company as their customer service and returning phone calls and E mails has been shocking .

This is the first time i have leased a vehicle , and it has left a very bitter taste in my mouth
