Evans Halshaw, Edinburgh

We phoned this morning to make an appointment to see a car on their website, got a phone call when we were halfway there to say they had lost the keys so couldn't give us a test drive but to come anyway to see the car. When we arrived the arrogant sales rep told us they hadn't had time to valet it yet, the car has been with them since before Christmas, or wash it even! The car was disgusting inside with chewy sweets stuck to the centre console and general dirt everywhere, he told us we were better to see it like that then we would be so pleased to see how well it cleaned up!!! His whole attitude was awful, he treated us like dirt! His loss! We went to a lovely dealer in East Wemyss and bought a spotless car and had great service!

bought a car from evans halshaw beverley and paid for it on 5/1/2017, had to wait 5 days to pick it up as no log book, i am still waiting for £200 i was overcharged (9days later), after getting the car home i noticed the brakes on the car are scraping and juddering and not working as they should, i contacted evans halshaw who said to bring it back so they can investigate, the branch is 40 miles from my home address, and they expect me to drive it back with defective brakes. i told them this and told them to get it resolved. that was 3 days ago, and still no contact from customer services. when i got the car the salesman said that there is no mot certificate, and being naiive when he told me that they dont really give mot certificates anymore, he gave me a printout to say the car was mot,d. after doing some research of my own via the gov.co.uk website, i found the new mot that was done a few weeks before, and advisory on the mot was, "brakes juddering" unbelievable, they knew about the brake problem but sold it to me anyway, now i have a car that cost me nearly £7000 just sat on my drive as it doesnt seem safe to drive, absolutely terrible company with no customer services at all, buy from this company at your own risk

I went in to Evan halshaw bankhead avenue in edinburgh to day to look at cars the so called salesman was lazy git he kept wanting me to go outside my price range was not interested at all i had to tell him how to use the web page ! was advised by it to go to sister garage evans halshaw (vauxhall) in sighthill went in there sales man was nice stupidly told him what happened other garage he then told manager we looked for car found one i liked i said through whole process I had to sit in car to see if it was suitable as they were going to move the car from somewhere else in uk i was told had to pay deposit i was happy to then at end he tried to give me the hard sell on all there products then finally i said you do know i wont buy the car until i sat in it he then said oh i need to say to the manager he denied me telling him i needed to sit in i was there was over an hr DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU DO ITS AT YOUR OWN PERIL

I bought a car from your portobello branch in June there was something wrong with it when I picked it up so it was booked in for the 1st of July to be fixed, just over 5 months later and I still didn't have the car back, I phoned constantly trying to find out what was happening, but kept getting told they weren't sure and someone would phone me back I had to do all the communicating, few weeks ago they said it was fixed I picked the car up and had to take it back the next day because the noise was still there and engine management light was on, I finally had enough and demanded my money back which I eventually got only because the garage had a new manager who was trying to sort the mess out the garage had caused the car was definitely not road worthy and should never have been sold, to top it all of we never recieved the documents for the car so it was never registered in our name, they haven't even offered any sort of compensation at all for the tax and insurance we were paying for the 5months the staff do not have a clue and are rude stay away from this disgraceful garage!!!!!!!!
