Didnt Settle Finance On My Part Exchange!!!!
bought a bmw 320 from county cars in mid July, and i part exchanged 2 x cars (Focus st and Aygo) which he was meant to settle the finance on (part of the agreement)... he didn't!!! we are now towards the end of August, and the finance still isn't settled after many calls and emails. the two cars which i part exchanged have now been sold on without the finance being settled (which is illegal), i have just spoken to the DVLA, and they have advised me that one of the cars ownership has been changed (i bet the new owner doesnt know there is finance on it!), but the other is still in my Name, 5 weeks later!!!!!!! i have called and emailed this guy, and he just keep fobbing me off. because he hasn't settled the finance, i have also been declined my mortgage application because i now have a poor credit score!!! he seemed a really nice, honest guy to start with, i even worked with him many years ago, but i wouldnt wish this headache upon anyone. avoid this DEALER!!!!! avoid avoid AVOID!!!

I Saw On Autotrader A 56 Plate Bmw 330d For Sale W
I saw on autotrader a 56 plate BMW 330d for sale with County cars of Colchester, I rang and spoke to a chap who was very helpful, I told him I would be coming a long way to see the car, we discussed the trade in of the car I owned at the time etc. all seemed well. I turned up on the day to see the car, I look round the vehicle, the bonnet catch was stuck closed so I couldn't look under the bonnet and the rear tyres looked like they needed replacing, it wasn't really prepared for sale which was disappointing considering the distance I told them I was travelling, then offered my partner and I a test drive of the vehicle. After deciding we were happy with the vehicle etc. we did the deal, asking for money off the vehicle to replace the rear tyres which they agreed to. All was well, however after driving over 100+ miles back home, I had the tyres checked by a local garage and the one rear tyre was illegal, he concurred this would not happen in the distance I had driven it. I was shocked that the dealer would let us test drive an unroadworthy car, let alone sell it to us (which incidentally is a criminal offence) and allow us to drive it home, this shouldn't have occurred as the dealer had replaced the front tyres as they were so worn, but seemed to deem 0mm tread rear tyre as acceptable. Please be careful when viewing cars at this dealer for your own and your families safety on the road, I was shocked that they let us drive away in a potentially dangerous car, the service apart from this was in my opinion below average, but not terrible. But my biggest concern is for people who are unaware taking there families and test driving and or buying unroadworthy and therefore potentially dangerous cars.
