Cars 'R' Us Barry, Glamorgan

Went to view a car here recently advertised online as great condition the list of issues i discovered upon viewing the car were quite extensive, upon trying to knock the price down a bit due to these problems the sales assistant there was snappy and rude, when i arrived i asked to view the car in question he brought over the keys then just walked away had no intention of sticking around to answer any questions i had and what questions i had,i was given less than helpful responses. All in all bad car, bad customer service and avoid.

I couldn't bileve how bad this place wwas never been spoken to so rude in my life horrable ppl there and all the cars are dodgy action cars please whatever you do just keep as far away

I found this place on autotrader and got fooled by the name. rang up about a cilo said it was at garage ready to have a look at, then I arrived at the place about 30 mins after I rang only to find out car weren't there it was being resprayed at garage close by. so then the guy without even introducing himself asks me to take me to garage (im the customer now who been told car was there ready) I agreed took him down explained it needed a touch up here and there, had god look car seemed alright couldn't test drive it tho which was another sign of it being dogdey but I liked the car so paid 200 deposit on the contract of having the car ready on the Saturday ( it was a Tuesday) they agreed signed and left half happy that got the car but not I couldn't drive it or the customer service.

so I then decieded to google the place and found this website and the reviews, got on the phone to the newly named "cars for you barry ltd" and asked to explained themselves they said all new staff and new woman director which fooled me and I proceed with buying the car. but come Saturday the car was not ready and was told they were never going to get it ready for then ring back Monday they said, I was tamping they broke agreement I needed car for work. I waited til Monday car weren't ready still again waiting another day til tuesday, took the mick so I asked for my deposit back and they went to be really aggressive having the 2 guys ringing me up being abuses the one car threating down the phone. I pulled out of the deal and lost my 200 pound they would not give it back !!

after a little more research the car they I almost brought was off the road for 4 years no tax or mot since sep 11 and the guy told me it just ran out !!what a mug

The majority of cars sold at this car dealership are category Cs nd Ds They do not fix these cars properly. I was given my car infact faulty and within hours I contacted them. They were not willing to fix it or take car back...This car dealership changes they're business name often and they are famous on the ferret. Avoid avoid avoid unless u want ur car being towed on the back of a recovery truck permanently

The guy who owns this company is a he will let you be leave he has a bargain for you and you will fall for it and soon as you drive away that's if your car starts and drives there is no help at all from this man DO NOT FALL VICTIM to this man he has only One interest and that's to sell you a car that will either have clocked mileage or its a cat d or c and has been known to sell cat b he is a bad man

I have dealings with this man (I am in the small claim's court) with Cars R Us (Barry) Ltd 182-190 Barry Rd Barry who also operated a branch from Maesteg Rd Tondu Bridgend.

However Cars R Us (Barry) are currently active but waiting to be 'struck off' due to not filing annual accounts (he has a history of doing this and a string of companies over last 5 years at same addresses).

However since the 11th June 2012 the Maesteg branch became Auto Solutions (Wales) Ltd and the director of the new company is also registered to Barry address under Trade Price Cars Limited.

During the course of my court case against Cars R Us (Barry) Ltd there have been several problems - 1st they have used every loophole to delay proceedings for example not responding to orders then asking for judgement to be set aside due to admin issues then not responding again! The judge in my case noticed the discrepancies in the receipts and letters I had and has now added the owner personally as the 2nd defendant because he signed these documents that did not provide limited company details as required by law.

It's emerged that he is well known to the Ferrit and Trading Standards he was convicted last year for selling unsafe cars (NB despite company changes the stock appears to be the same)VOG trading standards gave a public announcement about this last March and the local Barry paper stated he has 49 convictions for offenses such as dishonesty fraud and even perjury. I and many others are currently part of Bridgend's trading standards court case against him and I cannot stress enough to spend your money elsewhere!

i have to say after lookind at the reviews on this site i was concerned , but honestly did not have any problems like the above ,

got a fantastic deal on my car and everything went very well

would like to thank the team for treating me so well , picking me up from the train station and of course the cup of tea and biscuits

I WAS FORCED INTO BUYING THERE DODGEY CAR, I LEFT A DEPOSIT WITHOUT LOOKING AT CAR AS I WAS TOLD WHEN I VIEW IT IF I DIDNT WANT IT I WOULD GET DEPOSIT BACK NO PROBLEM, I ARRIVED THERE AND COULD SEE ALL THE CARS AND I MEAN ALL THE CARS LOOKED DODGEY IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, ANYWAY I LOOKED AT THE CAR I LEFT THE DEPOSIT FOR, FIRTS OFF IT WOULD NOT START, GOT IT STARTED AFTER LOTS OF IDIOTS RUNNING ROUND LIKE HEADLESS CHICKENS, TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE AND IT WAS UN ROADWORTHY,POWER STEERING WAS NACKERED, BUSHES AND BALLJOINTS WERE NOCKING/RATTELING, FILLER AND WRONG COLOR PAINT ALL DOWN ONE SIDE WITCH I WAS NOT TOLD ABOUT AND WAS HIDDEN IN PICS, I COULD GO ON FOR HOURS ABOUT PROBLEMS I FOUND/COULD SEE, I TOLD THEM SORRY BUT I WOULD LIKE MY DEPOSIT BACK, I WAS TOLD BY THE BOSS ON THE PHONE NOT IN PERSON I HAVE GOT NO CHANCE OFF GETTING DEPOSIT BACK AFTER HAVING HEATED CHAT ON PHONE HE WOULDENT EVEN FACE ME JUST KEPT SAYING NOT GETTING MONEY BACK,I THEN SPOKE TO THE POLICE WHO TOLD ME THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING DANGERASE CAR FOR A WILE, THEY KEEP MOVING PREMISES AND CHANGING NAME THEY HAVE HAD MANY DEALINGS WITH THEM. ALSO TOLD ME THIS CASE WAS A CIVAL MATTER AND NOT A LOT THEY CAN DO UNTILL I LEAVE GARAGE AND KILL MYSELF DRIVING THE DEATH TRAP, HAD TO TAKE CAR OR LOOSE DEPOSIT, TOOK THE CAR AND HAVE HAD TO SPEND £2000 GETTING IT ROAD WORTHY, PAID £2000 FOR IT AND COST SAME TO REPAIR IT. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SO CALLED PEOPLE AS YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF OR EVEN BADLY HURT OR EVEN KILLED DRIVING ONE OFF THERE DEATH TRAP CARS. this is just my experaince but please do homework on this so called car sales there are lots of negative feedback and not one good comment, that should say it all.

after ringing them up after my email was not replyed to it took 3.30 minuits to get an answer from them , so i drove 3 hrs only to be told someone had took the keys home, they knew i was coming to see a 307.when they did get the keys a cement mixer would have started better. in first and 2 gear it would only rev to 3000 rpm, i never lifted the bonnet, if this is the sort of firm that you want do deal with ( BEWARE ) IT ONLY COST ME 60 QUID IN FUEL it could have been a lot more , i wish i had seen your review before i went,.........
