Rude, Arrogant Rip Off Merchants

I have had several BMWs over many years but, although they are decent cars, the service and support is dreadful. I had a car leased through Alphabet, which is owned by BMW. They no longer tell you when the lease period is ending, then charge you when you don't arrange for the return of the car by a certain date. Utter rip off merchants and trying to squeeze every penny out of customers. Rude when you complain as well.

Beware Expensive Electrical Problems

Got a well looked after BMW with approx 50k mileage.

The 'i drive' system - the radio, cd, sat nav display has completely broken for no reason and all in all will cost nearly £1500 to replace.

This is a well known issue although BMW want to avoid any responsibility for it.

I personally will avoid BMW completely in future

Williams Bmw Bolton Treat Motability Customers With Contempt

Visited Williams BMW Bolton on Sunday to talk about motability and test drive 1 series. Never been made to feel like I couldn't afford a car before but thanks to their extremly rude sales man who made me, my wife and disabled child extremely uncomfortable. Was told no motability person was available and he couldn't be bothered to help. We asked to test drive the car but was told no as the car (which clearly was parked on the sales pitch as a demonstrator car) outside wasn't available!! Guess what I had to push to get an appointment for Monday at 5.30pm. Low and behold arrive at 5.30 on Monday but no car to test drive with no real explanation. Said demonstrator car no where to be seen. Very poor customer service with no empathy to our inconvenience. Made to wait at customer service desk before lady decided to pop her head after a few minutes to ask what we wanted. Worst experience ever. Any disabled person should not touch WILLIAMS BMW BOLTON with a barge pole!!!! It's a shame you can't leave no stars but you have to leave at least one

Chandlers Mini Hailsham

I have 2 Mini Coopers 1 is a Super Charge and the other a Cooper. Both have been serviced and repaired at Hailsham and both purchased from Hailsham. The staff there are lovely and very polite. The advisers are keen to offer good service and the Assistant Service Manager run a good team. The car was returned cleaned and the invoice was what was quoted.I would recommend anybody with a Mini or BMW to give them a try.

Ridgeway Bmw, Hook, Hampshire.

Faultless service from beginning to end! These people just cannot do enough for their customers. We purchased a used 1 Series Convertible from them last year. They managed to source one to my EXACT specification. Today my car was booked in for a minor repair which they did for FREE & even carried out a vehicle health check & sent me a short video of the said check! As we didn't have the time to wait for the car to be cleaned, we were told to come back any time for a complimentary wash & polish. This dealership is not the nearest one to my home town but I wouldn't go anywhere else. Top job!

I Thought French Cars Were Bad

Notoriously it is french cars that have shoddy build quality and even worse electrical faults but my BMW 5 series takes the biscuit!!

The battery doesn't last 5 mins without the engine running (I thought it was the battery but a test showed it was fine)

Parking sensors will go off beeping away even on motorways!

The clock dos not stay on

all minor but just annoying!

3 Faults In First 3 Weeks Of Ownership

I bought an approved used BMW from Snows BMW Portsmouth just over 3 weeks ago. The car is a 2009 318i M Sport Business Edition with 30,000 miles on the clock.

The car developed an engine fault within 36 hours and was returned to the dealer by the BMW emergency service - a faulty knock sensor was diagnosed and repaired.

The first time I drove the car for more than 30 minutes I noticed a clutch judder under load. Snows investigated and found a fault that required the clutch to be replaced. The car was off the road for 2 days in total.

36 hours after collecting the car, another engine warning light came on advising me to return the car to a BMW dealer. Snows investigated and this time identified a fault with the cam sensor. The car was off the road for 4 days.

The clutch still smells when reversing on any type of incline.

Is it acceptable for a BMW clutch to burn out after 30,000 miles?

Is it acceptable for the clutch to continue to smell after being replaced?

Is it acceptable for an Approved Used BMW to suffer 3 faults in the first 3 weeks of ownership?

Is it acceptable for an Approved Used BMW to be off the road for 7 days in the first 25 days of ownership?

Snows BMW have refused to refund me and have offered me just £200 as a "gesture of goodwill".

Good service????
