Ripped Off Never Again....arnold Clark Ayr
Bought a Quasqai from them in 2016 paid £17,000. I didn`t really take to it so went to trade it in a year later(2017). I was offered £12,000. A drop of £5,000 pounds !. I could not believe it, they had already ripped me off with my trade in, giving me just over half what it was actually worth. Is there no limit to their greed?, I am thoroughly disgusted with them.
I tried to reason that I was going to buy another car but no they would not budge. Please Buyer beware.

Incompetent, Arrogant And Unhelpful!
I purchased a new Puegeot from Arnold Clark at this showroom and whilst the initial transaction was straightforward and one I had no complaints about the after sales by Arnold Clark has been nothing short of appalling. Prior to purchase we noticed some surface scratches on the door and front spoiler which the sales person advised would be buffed before we collected the car. Unfortunately whilst there was an improvement to the scratches when we picked up the car they were still very obvious and repeated attempts to get Arnold Clark to complete the buffing have left us 9 months later with a car still showing obvious scratches and Arnold Clark now 'washing their hands' of the issue and claiming variously that the scratches didnt exist in the first place or have been removed depending on what evidence they are presented with. In short I have found Arnold Clark Puegeot to have questionable honesty and an extremely poor attitude towards customers. I have never dealt with as shabby an outfit and would warn others to beware.

Bought A 2nd Hand Mazda 6 From Ayr Honda. Paul The
Bought a 2nd hand Mazda 6 from Ayr Honda. Paul the salesman was very helpfull. I was offered a fair deal with my part exchange. The car required a new tyre which was fitted without question. It was arranged to touch up some small scratches on bodywork. This was carried out at a later date and a courtesy car provided.
The car although 2nd hand was prepared to showroom condition.
I would certainley buy from this garage again.

I'll Start By Saying The Car Is A 2007 Peugeot Est
I'll start by saying the car is a 2007 Peugeot estate and is generally in very good condition and the staff were very helpful prior to the sale.
Within 14 days of buying the car, the engine conked out despite a recent servicing by AC only 3 weeks prior. At the time my wife had gone into labour - we bought the car hoping for something reliable! When approaching Arnold Clark for repairs - they insisted on keeping the car for 24 hours to diagnose the problem and were not prepared to offer a courtesy car despite the fact my wife was in labour and the fact the car cocked up because someone hadn't done their job properly at AC.
I would encourage anyone buying from AC - to consider paying a little more from a reputable company and to look beyond the smiles and warmth initially offered.

Will Never Buy From Arnold Clark Again.
Will never buy from Arnold Clark again.
Bought A Rover From Ac Rover In Ayr And In Fairnes
Bought a Rover from AC Rover in Ayr and in fairness had good service from that garage. Had problems with front tyre wear and had it checked out by National tyres who found that alignment was fine but toe in needed adjusting. They didn't have equipment for adjusting toe in and suggested we go to a main dealer. By this time AC in Ayr had closed so we went to AC in Kilmarnock. Booked in and told them that toe in needed checked, when we got there they told us they would check the alignment, NO we said "it's the toe in", never heard of that they say, "What's toe in"? This was the service manager speaking so we walked out and had the work done by an independent dealer who knew exactly what we were talking about..
Then, had to get a spring changed under warranty, were sent to McHargs in Royston Rd. Got the car back....every piece of electronic equipment in the car had been fiddled with, every setting had been changed, we suspect somebody had had it out for their own purposes.
After a few days we noticed the rear wiper was inoperative, so took it back in. McHargs of course denied all knowledge but told my wife that the motor was burnt out and it would be £300 to repair.
I looked at the unit and found the pin that connects the motor to the wiper was stuck clear of the unit. It took a skoosh of WD40 to make the repair.
Anyone without a practical knowledge would have been stung for £300.
I will never buy or have a car serviced at any of Arnold Clarks garages again.
