What A Waste Of Time
I was attracted to the MIA website and was impressed by their wording.
Having had a serious previous medical history I found it almost impossible to get travel insurance. But MIA seemed to offer everything I needed.
Guess what, its a waste of time. They only want to cover you in sound European countries that offer a reciprocal agreement with the UK. So why waste your money.
Forget Greece,Turkey etc. and don't mention a cruise. Thats completely out of the question

I purchased travel insurance from 'Stay Sure' giving all medical details, checking we were covered for various issues, which I thought we were - until it was time to claim. - And this was not a cheap insurance!
I have never had to claim on an insurance before but this is a lesson and would like to warn others .
We were delayed on our Dubai to London flight due to technical faults, and missed our connection
Between London and Scotland, we had to purchase new tickets to get us home.
First I was told our insurance didn't cover UK flights! Then I was told we had to be delayed 12 hours!
When reading the insurance document I hadn't seen this in small print of course.
Let this be a warning to others READ all 40 pages! before purchasing.
DONT USE STAYSURE.bunch of unhelpful people the lot of em. refusing to payout a measly £600 air fare becaused i first filled out a claim form for my mother who was taken into hospital ill. 4 weeks later she died, and they are refusing to pay becaused they say that is a second claim. they have made making a claim a traumatic experience for all of us. imagine trying to make funeral arrangements etc, while these unhelpful sods are making life difficult. i have spread the word around bridge clubs and other freinds, and am amazed at the awful experiences that others have encountered. they will take your money, then laugh at you while refusing to pay out. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
