Avoid This Company!!!! I Wish Could Give Zero Stars!
I took out holiday insurance for myself and my family. Unfortunately a week before departing my mother became seriously ill and then passed away. The funeral was actually during the week I should have been away with my family. I naturally expected that I would be able to cancel the holiday, attend my mother's funeral and claim on my holiday insurance.........
Then Oinc and Travel Claims Services Limited became involved.......
I have had to get a medical form completed by my mothers doctor to see if I should have known she was ill. Like most older people (69 yrs) she rarely told us what was going on so as not to worry us, therefore anything that came out would have been news. The doctor like myself didnt see the relevance of the form and disclosed that my mother had passed away. He is not my doctor so I could not insist he did any more.
Now I am having letter after letter, form after form from them, so instead of having time to grieve the loss of my mother I am having to battle with an insurance company trying to avoid paying out a claim that I feel is morally due.
If they are prepared to behave like this in this situation, how would they behave if someone was taken ill abroad...
All I can say is given my experience of this organisation I would urge anyone to avoid them at all costs, we thought we had paid for a quality insurance package, how wrong we were.....!
Gadget Insurance - Avoid
Incredibly slow, incredibly tortuous, incredibly opaque procedure.
And this is for a minor claim on accidentally-broken tech items.
I fear a serious, genuinely time-sensitive claim would have me in tears. This is really not one to go near unless you're willing to kid yourself that you're covered should the worst thing happen.

Theft
Daughter took an insurance policy June 2012, on checking her bank statement in July 2013 a payment had been deducted which we did not recognise . On contacting the bank we were told that it relates to oinc...... We will be contacting Monday as she is a student she looks after the pennies so all of you that have previously took Holiday Insurance with OINC the previous year check your bank statements !!!!!!!!!!
Would have given no stars however an amount must be selected to poste review

Terrible, This Would Be 0 Stars If Possible!
I was due to go skiing in feburary this year, and the day before we were due to leave my mother unexpectedly passed away tragically
I sent all relevant documents including the death certificate, and yet they requested a drs report (even though I explained it was an unexpected death)
Fortunately the dr eventually did this, next they requested proof that I didn't go (cancellation), even though my mother had died the day before I was meant to leave, obviously this hadn't even thought of this considering my state of mind
Absolutely insensitive, and unhelpful, and still not had any money

Waste Of Time Insurance
THE HOLIDAY INSURANCE IS A WASTE OF TIME, IF YOUR EXPECTING TO BE COVERED FOR STOLEN GOODS, DONT USE THIS COMPANY! THE MAX THEY PAY OUT IS £75 PER ITEM, WONT PAY FOR CASH OR PHONES! WITH THE EXCESS BEING 86% OF WHAT THEY WILL PAY OUT - ITS NOT REALLY WORTH THE PAPER ITS WRITTEN ON!
OUR VILLA GOT BROKEN INTO AND WE LOST 2 IPHONES ONE BRAND NEW WHITE ONE WHICH COST £520, AN IPOD TOUCH WHICH COST £279.00, MY 6 YR OLDS BRAND NEW PSP £150 AND CASH.
THE STAFF THEY EMPLOY DONT UNDERSTAND THEIR OWN POLICY, THE LADY I SPOKE TO KEPT GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES AND WOULDNT ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, ALL I WANTED TO KNOW WAS HOW MUCH WE WERE COVERED FOR.......EVENTUALLY AFTER 25MINS ON THE PHONE SHE TOLD ME ALL I WOULD GET BACK WOULD BE A MAX OF £60 ....WHAT A JOKE!
I DECIDED IT WASNT EVEN WORTH TAKING MY TIME TO FILL IN THE CLAIM FORM!

Cowboys Is The Word To Describe These Jokers!
Cowboys is the word to describe these jokers!
Took up the policy to cover the family, had car broken into and everything stolen whilst away, they said it would be the car insurance we would need to claim off but the insurance ombudsman thinks differently. They then said passports, driving licences, cash and keys are no covered on the policy taken (and I didn't have the cheap option).
You get what you pay for and don't wasted your money as the excess outweighs what the cover.

Broke My Leg A Couple Of Days Into A Skiing Holida
Broke my leg a couple of days into a skiing holiday. Absolutely astounding service. The documentation they sent me had a direct number to the underwriter (Axa), and once I contacted their team they did their level best to get me out of the country.
I'd already visited the doctor before I rang them, but once I had they organised a nurse, and a new flight for me & my girlfriend (they told me that my budget airline would not have allowed me on with a broken leg. Didn't know that!). All at absolutely no cost to me.
They kept in contact with me regularly, and even better I kept on speaking to the same person! They organised a taxi to get me to the airport, which was better than it sounds, as the airport was several hundred miles away, and if I had had to pay for it myself it would have cost me about 300 euros.
Once I got back it did take a while to get all the medical expenses processed, but I did get all my money back, minus my deposit.

Oinc.com Is Fraudulent. I Have Just Reported To Tr
Oinc.com is fraudulent. I have just reported to Trading Standards. I purchased trip insurance on 3 Dec 2010, and called on 7 Dec to ask some questions about making a claim. I called all the numbers provided to me on the policy documents, and none of them belonged to oinc.com - it was other entities, who said they had nothing to do with the insurance and that they had no record of my insurance, and said my policy number was invalid. I will be taking this further - next call is to Financial Ombudsman, and to the Police. Oinc is a scam. Whoever wrote the other reviews was obviously someone connected to the scam.
