E Sure

E-sure Insurance services fail long standing customers when claims are submitted to them. I have held both Buildings/Contents and Car insurance with them for over four years without making any claims. My wife recently lost one hearing aid and replacement cost was £1805. She purchased two aids one year ago at a total cost of £2995 i.e £1497 each My claim was dismissed on the grounds that it exceeded their £1500 limit per item irrespective of the original purchase cost. I regard it as unreasonable that one is expected to "guess" the future cost one year in advance and the company refused even to consider the claim as actually costing less than the specified limit (less personal excess of £250)!!! I have cancelled all my insurances with them and would recommend that potential customers think carefully on their choice. There are plenty of potential insurance companies out there on comparison websites and most are cheaper than E-sure as well.

Excellent company to deal with: good call centre staff and easy to reach. My claim for 2 nights in hospital and treatment for malaria was setled in full, minus the excess. I waited till I got home before contacting them, sent all the receipts with a claim form which is nice and simple to complete. The call centre advisor said I would have needed to contact them straightway if it was over a certain amount, but given the small sums involved it wasn't a problem. The cheque took about three weeks to arrive. I thoroughly recommend E Sure based upon my experiences.
