I had booked a family holiday to Crete in July 2014 along with another family .Sadly, I became very ill suddenly and had to undergo major lung surgery. This resulted in having to cancel the holiday. I understood there would be an excess to pay however I was not prepared for the charge to be £800 !! Extortion and greed spring to mind. The policy states an excess of £200 in no clear way does it bring to your attention that the charge is per person. This policy is a rip off it did not cost Blue Insurance £800 to cancel the holiday. I appealed and even the staff at the call centre were embarrassed by the charges. Please do not insure with this company who are owned by Cigna Insurance.
