Quotemart Insurance

I had my home insured through Quotemart Insurance, done online, last year. They automatically renewed it this year at a uncompetitive premium his year When I called up they say they sent a written notification which did not reach me.

When I called up to cancel they have deducted £20 as administrative charges even if the renewal was effectrive only 3-4 days ago, in addition to £2.56 for these three days cover.

I found the service and this excessive charging completely unacceptable. The person at customer service person did not see the point I was making. I would advise people to be very careful in dealing with this online insurance provider as the fineprint can be confusing. Waiting for refund but unnecessarily paying up for nothing. I will be formally lodging a written complaint but customers take care!
