ING Direct Home Insurance

Applied online last year and just renewed with them as my renewal premium was still much cheaper than what I could get elsewhere.

I like their policy document it is very clear and straigh forward.

I also have my savings account with them and their customer service is great.

I have used twice the Home Emergency cover (nail through heating pipes and waspe nest in the attic) and it was great, the tradesmen came promptly and I didn't have to pay for anything- no excess either and doesn't seem to have impacted my renewal premium; a very useful extra to have

Unhelpful staff. Wanted to call about a quote from a comparison site as was given the option and their own website kept timing out.

Katie informed me that she couldn't help me, there were no known problems with their website and may be to try filling all the information in again...

I told her that I probably wouldn't bother because it hadn't been easy to start this already and I wasn;t even a customer yet!

Booked ING Direct home insurance as they came out cheaper, asked for documents 4 times and kept only receiving letters saying what changes id made, i hadnt made any changes, only booked my insurance online!!!

i kept phoning asking for the proper documents with the policy wording/certificate etc and still just a letter! finally i did get the letter plus a policy wording booklet so i gave up, didnt ever get my certificate! useless!! and the customer service team were so rude! teenagers with personalities like goldfish!

the thing is they are provided by AXA who i used to be with, wish id stay with them, they treated me better! probs as i was going through them direct!

Back in November, ING direct home insurance promotion is for £50 Marks and Spencer vouchers ... it's March now... no vouchers!!!!
