Bank of Scotland Home and Contents Insurance

I must admit that i like others, i view insurance companies with a little cynicism, but Bank of Scotland have been nothing but excellent in their handling of my claims. I had a couple of large claims which were dealt with quickly and professionally by staff who were polite and kind in all their dealings. The follow up and handling of the claims was extremely good and i have nothing but admiration for their customer service teams. The teams were all UK based and there was no misinterpretation of any details. It was a real comfort knowing that even if the fault of the loss with ours, the claim was was dealt with on a completely unbiased basis and settled very promptly. The customer service team bent over backwards to try and make sure that everything was covered in the claim with no paperwork or form filling on my part. Even though my premiums have gone up because of the claims, i would not change insurance companies now. They have proven to be as good as their word and i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who was looking for a good solid insurance company who put the customer first.
