Giffgaff's whole advertising campaign is based on the claim that customers are both "free to go" and "free to stay". This is not true. Customers are NOT free to go. If you do go, giffgaff refuse to refund any remaining credit, making this an effective charge for leaving. They say you're free to spend your credit before you go, but this is a pointless waste in many, if not all, circumstances.
