Had the misfortune of have 3 bikes and a drill stolen. SBS were absolutely fantastic, very easy to contact and to deal with. I am not one to write a review normally,but in this case the service I received from start to finish was top class. Usually claiming for something on insurance is a slow and long winded process. This was the complete opposite; Fully automated online claim system, very easy to use. Once the claim was processed I got an email from a real person who got the few extra bits of information the need and within 24 hours of opening the case I had a voucher to replace the lost item. I cant recommend this company enough. I spoke to Dav who was super professional and prompt with the process. My daughter decided to practice her throwing and smashed the screen of my OLED tv (she's only 2, otherwise she be up for adoption right now) which has been my pride and joy for last couple of years. From the start to the end of my claim SBS have been great. Being a dinosaur I couldn’t complete the claim using the ‘bot’ but very quickly after an email this was sorted. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything positive about SBS Insurance Services. I have written a complaint to NFU Mutual and when our policy is due for renewal we will be considering other options. This is not what I expect from NFU Mutual. With regard to the claim, we have been offered a substandard replacement. Customer Service has been extremely poor, at times rude and bordered on obtrusive. My laptop went into the company with a cracked screen. It’s been back twice as not charging and screws missing since the repair. It’s come back tonight saying it was my charger. Purchased a brand new charger and guess what it still doesn’t charge. I don’t believe a word they say and don’t feel they’re competent. I will be pursuing this with Nfu who use this company.! The person I dealt with rang whilst dealing with a claim for esure. I made it clear i was unhappy with 'esure' in the way they handled it and although he was advised from esure to collect the tv he went above and beyond to resolve it on the phone. Burglary is a traumatic event for all of us especially when they take your laptop with precious baby photos of a much loved grandson. Obviously no-one can give you back these special memories but SBS made the whole process of assessing our claim easy from start to finish.
