That's A Shame!
I used this company twice last year to delivery parcels from Scotland to Italy and they were absolutely spot on. Next day collection and delivered in a few days. Absolutely no complaints. I was going to try and use them again but I can't seem to find them anymore!

Beware Of The Package Delivery Company
I was so happy when I thought I had found a cheap courier, however over the past 6 months I have to say I have been extremely disappointed with The Package Delivery Company.
The reasons are as follows:
1. Regularly received a booking confirmation and there was no pick up and the courier company would have no record of my booking.
2. Regularly did not get a confirmation and would have to chase up and usually this meant a failed pick up
3. They only deal with customers over email, which means issues are slow to resolve and if there is a problem when a courier turns up, you cannot so pick up fails
4.Their prices kept changing and in January went up 80% which coincided with a drop is service level further
5. The couriers they used and the process of booking kept changing (which, given there were so often issues with pick ups that coincided with these moves I can only now guess was due to irregularities in the way they dealt with courier companies - see below).
6. *** IMPORTANT *** I was called and questioned by one courier company about where I had booked a delivery, as they were investigating a fraud. When I contacted the company they said they were not aware of the problem and services were not affected, only to find that their website was then not operational.
7. Previously, I had a package returned because the service booked was not permitted for the company making the bookin. The next day the courier offered by PDC had changed.
When I looked into the company as I was concerned they were involving me in a fraud, I found:
A. The company number, name and location on the website was different to that included in confirmation emails from the company;
B. A third different name was provided to courier companies which meant that it was hard to track down your orders if problems exist and also seems peculiar for an "established logistics company" (their words)
C. My emails enquiring about this and the fraud allegation were ignored
D. They have recently started calling themselves a new name in emails to even setting themselves up under a new name, sendaparcel.org.uk.
All this has made me extremely iuncomfortable that this is A COMPANY THAT IS ATTEMPTING TO STAY ONE STEP AHEAD OF COURIER COMPANIES AND OTHER DEBTORS, by continually morphing into new companies and not existing except on the internet and on email.
All in all the cost was too good to be true and THE PACKAGE DELIVERY COMPANY turned out to be regularly unreliable which meant that I was regularly contacting customers to apologise for letting them down.
I WOULD RECOMMEND STEERING CLEAR UNLESS YOU DO NOT NEED A RELIABLE SERVICE.
I wrote a similar review to this 6 months ago and it was taken down by review centre as thepackagedeliverycompany complained. Anyway, I had a call from DHL's head of security saying the packagedeliverycompany owe them £80,000 and are believed to be fraudulent and they had my 2 parcels frozen and I had to recover them myself. Anyway, I stopped using them there and then. Basically this guy sets up blag companies like the last one was was called kitchen stock, he gets contracts with the big couriers, runs them up a huge bill then disappears.
