I am extremely sceptical to the legitimacy of this company and the authenticity of their ‘good’ reviews. Whilst their call centre staff were polite and returned calls, the purpose of Parcels Please (to courier parcels from one place to another) seems to be beyond their capabilities.

Having booked a delivery on 10 Dec to be collected on 15 Dec, we waited all day to be told that the driver had turned up but had no answer at the door. Unless he thought we were psychic, between 3 of us in the house we didn’t hear the doorbell, a knock, the security light or any walking on the gravel and alas the items weren’t collected.

This being a Friday, we then had to wait until Monday for the delivery to be rebooked. After ringing x3 I was finally told it would be collected by 1830 but to ring again at 1600 if it hadn’t. I did this at 1600 and finally got a call directly from Parcel Force who said we’d be booked in again first thing the following morning. This came and went and after numerous phone calls we eventually cancelled the order at 1530.

If you like waiting in for x3 days and making lots of phone calls to achieve absolutely nothing, then use Parcels Please. If not, pay a little more and use one of the well-known firms…

As always a large box of household goods and treats was delivered in less than 2 days door to door from north Aberdeen to central France.can not fault this service...have used it regularly with no problems whatsoever.highly efficient and great value.thanks again Parcels please

We have used Parcel Please on several occasions and only stopped when they no longer delivered to France. Heard from friends that they now do ,so my daughter booked two 20 kg boxes of curtain fabric, bedding and some household items to be sent from uk. We gave the exact dimensions as stated on boxes and photographed them being weighed after reading a negative review about a bill coming two months later for oversize box.....the boxes were collected from Aberdeen 1 pm Monday and arrived 12 pm Wednesday in central France...contents intact and great tracking info throughout.. first class service. we have never had a problem with them.thank you for a great service .By contrast , a child's swimsuit cost £2.80 to send a few miles by Royal Mail and took 5 days!!!

I am starting to doubt many negative reviews and people who write them. I booked my delivery late at night. The 29 kg parcel was picked up inside my house next day and delivered very quickly (two working days later) in Sweden. This company offered the lowest price including £60 free insurance.

I have used Parcelsplease.co.uk on a number of occasions prior to today.

But this morning they really excelled themselves.

I went online to organise a collection early this morning, thinking that it would be collected tomorrow at the ealiest. Low and behold, it showed that I could have it collected today. Now being a little bit of a cynic I didn't really believe it would happen, and that if it wasn't collected, it would cause me problems.

So I rang and spoke to a member of their staff, who assured me it would be collected. I went ahead and booked it, and HEY PRESTO, it was collected 1 and a half hours later.

BRILLIANT SERVICE, WELL DONE, it makes a plesant change to fine excellent service without having to pay huge sums of money.

Excellent service...Cheap and secure..I have to say the costumer service advisors must love their job.They are all very responsive and dedicated.Special thank you to my advisor for taking really good care of my parcels yesterday.

I was buying tickets and Parcel please was acting as a 3rd party that was suppose to hold the money until i recieved the tickets and then release it to the seller. It never happened.

Have used twice and friends also have had the same experience. Parcels picked up within the agreed times and delivery to the Ariege(09) was door to door in under 48 hours. I can only speak as I find.The tracking system on day 2 told me the goods were in Toulouse and they arrived just after lunch

I had some glass shelves collected via this company. The glass was INTACT when it left the shop. Next thing I hear the shelves are smashed and sitting in a warehouse. This company denied all responsibility using the 'you signed a form stating you send glass at your own risk' clause. They send me a huge pack of documents (their Terms and Conditions) reiterating they are not responsible. Absolutely DISGUSTING treatment of customer. For the sake of £20 (for which I'm now out-of-pocket), and what would have been repeat custom, I will never use again and will never recommend. If I could rate them 0 Stars, I would but the system doesn't allow it.

What an efficient and, more important, people friendly service! It is a delight to telephone a company and actually speak to a human being and, what's more, be able to speak to the same person more than once. In these days when we have come to expect robotic answers and no replys to e mails Parcels Please is a company with a human touch. Thank you for that and a special thank you to Angela Ortenzi who was endlessly patient with my fumblings about with information!

Parcels Please is such a reasonable way of sending and receiving goods and I have recommended this service to a number of people who have also experienced the same positive approach as I did. Collection and delivery happen when they say they will; yet another novelty!!!
