AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY – you MAY be lucky and have them deliver your item to your expectation. However, if you are in what appears to be a pretty large minority, and they do not deliver on the contract made between you prepare yourself for obfuscation and misdirection regarding their responsibilities and your rights as defined by the UK’s Consumer Rights Act. In my experience their tactic is to not communicate proactively and then, when forced to interact, they will express their regrets and then politely miscommunicate and mislead, likely in the hope that you will eventually get fed up and drop the matter. In my case I paid Parcel Monkey for a next day delivery service for an item which was then delivered several days late – a clear breach of the contract made between us when I paid them for the service (always remember that your contractual relationship is with Parcel Monkey and not whoever they subcontract to for delivery). After raising the initial complaint and hearing nothing from them for 10 days I had to spend the next 3 weeks repeatedly chasing them – with every communication amounting to ‘it’s the courier company’s fault not ours’: essentially, ’tough luck, go away’. These people know full well that my contract was with them and not their sub-contractor and that the Consumer Rights Act supports this, but they chose to feign ignorance of this when repeatedly pointed out to them. At my wits’ end with their ‘sharp practice’ and remembering I actually paid with a credit card I initiated a chargeback through the card company and told Parcel Monkey that they would be hearing from Amex. Parcel Monkey literally IMMEDIATELY issued me with a full refund after a month of messing me around … this is as clear a tacit admittance as you will get that they knew their obligation all along but instead chose to mislead their customer. Icing on their cake of dishonesty: two weeks later and I have still not received the refund!!! They may well reply to this review with platitudes and expression of regret – DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD OF IT – this is their model for customer interaction: veiled dishonesty.

They Keep Your Bank Details On File And Charge You

They keep your bank details on file and charge your card for extra money like £52.00 and do a unauthorised bogus transaction saying you had put the wrong dimensions in when ordering your delivery label when you clearly took them off the side of the box after paying £16,66 on the website, beware of the charges too your account aright sham hoping you don't noticed the extra unauthorised charges,

They must keep a copy of you 3 digit security number on file to access the payment to make it look like you have authorised it so bad in a big way, as merchants should "NOT" store your CVV number when processing a transaction,

So how are they getting away with this and doing it to customers on line,

Tip for consumers:

Awful

So far I'm completely regretting using Parcel Monkey.

First of all the parcel reference number cannot be tracked through them as the first 3 letters do not match the specifications online, how on earth can this be possible?

Then I contacted a member of staff online who was clearly desperate to exit the chat because she(?) was entirely useless and could not help me. She just kept sending me useless links that didn't work. The customer service is diabolical. I asked her for the complaints procedure at least 5 times and she refused to help me. She just continued to ask me pointless questions. I'm disgusted! Will never ever use again.

Never Use Them

NEVER USE THEM!!!! I have no idea where to begin. Sent a pair of pro audio expensive speakers £350 i first checked they were not on the restricted list, it said they were permitted. 2 days later my customer has complained nothing arrived & tracking stated they were returned to southampton because restrcited item. 7 days on & not a single straight answer from PM just basic robot replies stating I HAD TO COLLECT MY ITEMS FROM SOUTHAMPTON or they will be disposed of, WHAT? this whole episode has cost me a fortune, lost my sale and caused huge amounts of stress. Customer service is useless they cannot even answer my question 8 days on as to why they decided they were restricted its like talking to a wall.

Beware. This Company Will Try To Take from You. I

Beware. This company will try to take from you. I posted a parcel from a UPS shop via a booking made and paid for there and then through Parcel Monkey online. The package was weighed and measured by UPS.

PM then unilaterally and without warning or permission took additional funds more than a week later from my card. Initially they said this was because the package size or weight was under-declared. It was not. They then changed their minds and said it was a "Saturday Processing Fee" (whatever that might be). The package was indeed booked online, paid for and sent from the UPS store on a Saturday. If the Saturday price was different that ought to have been reflected in the price quoted, agreed to and paid. Instead, Parcel Monkey decided to raid my payment card without permission debiting further funds, although they don't seem quite sure what exactly this was for. Despite demanding a refund, I am sent ludicrous messages on their online chat telling me they are looking in to it and thanking me for my patience.

Avoid these clowns.

Beware Of Disputed Charges

after sending 1 kilo small siz parcel to China got email with 'Disputed Charges' claiming that my parcel was 24 kilo! Credit card was charged with additional 72£

They refuse to provide any original request from courier, so I suppose it's purely their on "invention" to earn money while customer use service where size and dimensions are not indicated by courier.

Terrible Communication….incompetent

Awful experience with parcel monkey.

The short version of a very long story is , I requested a parcel to be returned, actually on the day of dispatch so wasn’t a really troublesome request, very straight forward I thought……only to be told FOUR months later it had been delivered to the original recipient, which I have no way of contacting whatsoever !

After being told in November it was being returned, it had been delivered 3 weeks after dispatch!

No chance of any refund, in any way!!

All I received was a message from parcel monkey….”sorry for the inconvenience “

Do not use….if you get any problems, they do not get dealt with, you will get fobbed off , as the just don’t care

Sham Artists

Beware stay clear of these sham artists at all cost, the items I posted using parcel Monkey turned up totally destroyed, the buyer sent me multiple pictures of the contents and the box and it looked like they'd been thrown from the wagon onto the tarmac multiple times before getting dragged down the motorway to their final destination, and even though I'd payed for extra cover these clowns said I wasn't covered due to inadequate packaging, the contents were wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and sealed in a sturdy well taped box, don't think any packaging would survive the onslaught parcel monkey provide.

To top it off customer services-complaints blank you once these Charlatans fob you off with their poor excuses,

TAKE YOUR CASH

DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY

BLANK YOU AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT VICTIM..

Parcel Monkey Couldn't Give A Banana To My Broken Tiles

Wanted to send some tiles back to a warehouse, I paid £100 for parcel money to take these tiles and pay for extra protection. Three major issues with this service:

1. They picked up the tiles that were on a pallet outside my house 24 hours later than their original planned pickup (i paid for a next day freight). This meant I had to call their team on several occasions to find out what was going on

2. When the courier eventually came the next day, he returned all my tiles smashed probably by the way he off loaded them from his Van or that he didnt securely put them into his van. This meant that Yourtiles were unable to process any refund on the £300 plus worth of tiles I was returning and the whole experience was terrible

3. When I tried to get some compensation from Parcel Monkey on this issue, they were quick to point out that Tiles are not covered as part of their protection

Thanks for wasting my time Parcel Monkey, will never use you ever again!
