Very Poor Knowledge And Support Process
I recently switched my flip phone to an Android touch screen. It worked well for a few days and, all of a sudden, it quit working. The minutes from my previous phone had NOT been properly transferred to the Android and the phone was deactivated by Tracfone. After talking with several representatives, being transferred numerous times and waiting on hold uncountable times, it was finally repaired. My total time on the land line was approximately 7 hours. They compensated me by adding a whopping 25 minutes to my phone. It's lucky for me I had a home phone with which to contact them. Don't know how I would have been able to get the issue resolved if I only had the Tracfone.

Svc Senior Value Cellphone
Tracfone punt the Samsung T155 as being their choice phone for seniors, and they're not wrong by toting it conducive for inexperienced senior use. It's a very basic cellphone, that's easy to understand, navigate, and use. The screen is clear and bright, and the texting on the screen itself is particularly large, making it easy to read. The buttons are also large, to compensate for those elderly eyes, and for the occasional shaking. It is hearing aid compatible, so even if the usual loudness of the phone isn't enough, then no worries with the hearing issues. Battery life gives me more than 6 days of using the phone once or twice a day - granted, not much. But only having to recharge it once a week is a blessing all unto it's own. The most important aspect of the phone that makes me like it though, is it's ability to always pick up signal, and the quality of the call. That to me is the one most paramount aspect of heving a mobile phone in the first place.
There certainly are plenty of great features and benefits to having this phone. It's great to be able to own a quality cell phone without having to spend a fortune or obligating to a long term commitment. I'm just a little concerned, you know that saying...if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I would appreciate any other feedback on either the phone or customer service if you have a problem. In the end, this will probably be the way to go, but would still like to know.

My Son Got Me This Phone For His Mom, With The Bes
My son got me this phone for his mom, with the best intentions at heart. It's a nice little phone, doesn't have any gadgets, and is supposed to make, take phone calls, and occasionally it may venture into the world of texting. Problem was, my son got this phone where he stays, LA, and then brought it up North where we stay in Missoula. The problem being, AT&T is almost non- existent here, and this little phone is a GSM model phone that makes use of only AT&T.
So, for all those concerned sons, and daughters, do your folks a favor and first do some home work before surprising them with a phone, or anything else that might only have application in your own locality.

I Would Certainly Recommend This Service To A Frie
I would certainly recommend this service to a friend of mine, that has two or more children old enough to own a phone. I got my girls (twelve, and fourteen) a tracfone each with the bare minimum of airtime available. The thinking is that they would each have a phone for emergencies, and also for the convenience of their parents being able to contact them. If they want to use the phones for thir personal capacity, then they got to buy their own airtime. Fortunately I made a point of buying them tracfones that already included double minutes for life. So the airtime I buy them once a month, as well as the time they buy for themselves lasts quite a long time. Apart from that I've never had a problem not having signal, or dropping a call with them. Fortunately I've never had a reason to call any service department for them either. Tracfone's pretty simple, you can't really mess it up.
I found this review very helpful because...I have teen daughters of my own. And I do understand the extreme depth of how vicious nagging can become. I did the same thing choosing tracfones for them - because it's the best way to control consumption. If I was interested in controlling spending, then I'd be buying bulk minutes and try saving by getting minutes for cheap. But no, I'd like to see more of my daughters, and less of their phones.
I found it helpful as I'm not the only one choosing tracfone for my teens.

My Husband's Sister Was In A Motor Vehicle Acciden
My husband's sister was in a motor vehicle accident some years ago, and suffered trauma to the brain, leaving her with a small amount of brain damage. She can still function on basic levels, but needs far more supervision. Part of her rehabilitation, is to help her become more independent. So we decided a cell phone would be the ideal way to keep tabs on her when she ventured out on her own. The tricky part was finding a user friendly phone and a service that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Then we saw the commercial for Tracfone's Senior Value Cellphone (SVC). While she is not a senior citizen, the phone-Samsung T155G- was ideal in that it is so easy to use. She can navigate through the menu with simple yes/no options, the text is large and the sound quality is clear. Added to this basic and affordable phone, was the Tracfone service. Reliable coverage, low monthly airtime options, starting from as little as $7/month, and all round peace of mind. Tracfone SVC has been a crucial stepping stone to slowly giving someone their independence back. I'm sure it is also a great phone for the senior citizens, but don't assume that's where it stops. In my opinion, a good choice for affordability and simplicity.

I Have An Iphone For My Everyday Go-about-business
I have an iphone for my everyday go-about-business life. It helps me mostly with the emails, and other connections I have to sustain when doing business outside the city. Unfortunately going out of the city's perimeter does render my AT&T coverage a little manky. So I got a basic tracfone with renowned signal (lg220) to compensate for any time I'd ever lose coverage.
The whole business of getting a tracfone has however left me thinking about the plan, and contract I currently have for my iphone. It's a whole lot cheaper minute for minute, and it has better coverage (if choosing the CDMA network), and believe it or not, but talking on the tracfone is easier, and a whole lot better. It cannot replace the tool that is my iphone, but at least when I look at the little lg it fills me with a sense of ease - there's a no worries phone, and plan.
I found this review very helpful because...
It makes a lot of fuss of the actual types of network involved with tracfone. It's fine and well saying they have the best nationwide coverage, but what people neglect to say, is that their coverage is a combination of both the GSM, and the CDMA networks. If you choose the phone on the wrong network, no matter where you are you're going to have a bad experience.

Purchased A Tracfone For Us$15 For Our 2 Week Vaca
Purchased a Tracfone for US$15 for our 2 week vacation in the USA. A very useful and very cheap for phone and minutes. Got 20 minutes local and international calls with the phone and purchased another 60 minutes for US$20. International calls work very much like those cheap phone cards, you can't phone direct, you need to phone a special number, wait, follow the instructions and at the end put in the phone number you wish to call. Simple enough but a little time consuming. And it did take 24 hours before international calls were allowed. The instructions for making international calls were hard to understand until you got the hang of it.
Activating the phone is a bit of a pain!
You need to activate the phone using their website or call an activation number but on another phone as their phone isn't working yet (say "irony")
So other than tricky instructions this was a great phone. Excellent price and dirt cheap international calls.
Would/will buy another, anytime.

I Bought This Phone To Call Home Whilst On Holiday
I bought this phone to call home whilst on holiday in the USA for 2 weeks
I spent a total of 30 minutes trying to get the phone unlocked to international calls each time i was told it is done and to wait 44 hour why 44 why not none or 48 why 44?
why would it need to be unlocked when it blatantly advertises international land line use.
A total waste of money.
