Ideal Isar 30100

I have had the Isar for 5 years and had problems throughout starting within the first 2 weeks when the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) had to be replaced. It is now on the 5th PCB (expensive to replace). Now for the second time, the radiators will not turn off due to the boiler incorrectly diverting h/w to the radiators. It will cost upwards of £800 to complete remedial work. Homeserve (recommended by Ideal), refuse to do the work. Not worth mending, so will cut my losses and go for a new, better boiler.

Speaking to the (many) engineers fixing the boiler over the years, none have praised this particular one.

I've had the Ideal Isar 30100 for over 9 years , with a large family making frequent use of the hot water on & off all the time - it's still going strong . However it does leak when it's switched off for a long period.
