Ideal HE325

This boiler was installed as standard in our new house, which we moved into 4yrs ago.

The positive aspect of this boiler is that it provides a very powerful hot water feed. There's never been a problem with showers, they're the equivalent of a power-shower.

The boiler worked fine for the first 18 months the failed to fire up and provide hot water or central heating over the Christmas period. It needed PCB, the main control board. While the engineer was replacing the board he inadvertently snapped the crappy plastic clip that holds the facia onto the front of the boiler, which caused problems further down the line.

There have been other hickups along the way, like leaking joints etc, but that's down to the installer rather than the boiler itself.

Now it's gone again... the thermostat has snapped of its control board, which now needs a replacement RelayPCB. The expansion tank needs replacing and because that is bust it needs a PRValve. The user control panel has stopped working, so we've not been able to reset the system. And finally the facia panels is being replaced.

At least I've got it covered with an extended warrantee... it's just having to take the time off for a days of diagnostics and then a day for the repairs once the bits get into the depot.
