2 Years Ago We Had A De Dietrich Gtu 120 C Oil Boi
2 years ago we had a De dietrich gtu 120 c oil boiler installed, it has had a problem since day one of commisioning,it stalls during operation and the house goes freezing cold, engineers have visited 18 times to date and have changed almost every sensor on the thing, still the problem goes on and on, it flashes diagnostic codes like a christmas tree, and fuel consumption is a disaster its used 3000 litres of fuel in 6 months, at european prices thats a lot of euro,s, i,ve too had oil boilers before, and they were fantastic with hardly any problems, thinking of buying a de deitrich boiler - don,t waste your money.

Firstly Try & Find Out The Price From The Manufact
Firstly try & find out the price from the manufacturer ?? this
seems to be left to the installer to charge what he likes ??
we were told we would not be able to hear it & they could be fitted in a kitchen between other units ?? with the pipework they measure 1700mm by 600mm
how does this fit between units ?? the noise is similar to a vacuum cleaner
running constantly, there is a constant smell of oil,& the oil consumption
is unbelievable, we have had a number of houses with oil heating but never any as bad as this one, after 5 weeks we are now looking at replacing it as
we can not stand it any longer plus we could not afford to run it.

Q&A
I have a GTU C 1200v that is 10 years old, always serviced etc. Since November I have had engineers out 6 times as the pilot light does not re-fire when the thermostat clicks on and just goes onto alarm mode. It will re-fire if I do it manually but at some point will then not re-fire. My engineer has said that it must be a problem with the memory card and that will have to be replaced. I understand that this is a huge expense. Have you any ideas?
Thank you
