Baxi Solo 3 PFL 50

Seven years old, 1 service, no breakdowns. Open vented system, grundfos pump, 3 way valve, danfoss programmer, copper open vented cylinder. Recently the fan started making a noise so I took the boiler apart and lubricated the bearings (relax, I'm gas safe registered) and all okay. This boilers build quality is not great and the fan connections are a pain but it's SIMPLE so there is less to go wrong. I'm not about to change for a condensing boiler until this one fails and certainly not a combi 'cos in my experience they are the most complex and least reliable of all. Unfortunately you can't buy a simple boiler any more due to regs so it's not all your plumbers fault.
