Massive thank you to the team, process was easy throughout and they went above and beyond to keep me updated and talk me through the process. Car was picked up in super quick time and any questions/ request I had were dealt with quickly and professionally.

Helpful service and fast payment

My car broke down in the middle of a shopping trip far away from home. The gearbox and the clutch were broken. The quote for getting it repaired was expensive so I looked for a way to sell the car as it was. The quote was given was fair under the circumstances. They let me know when the car was collected on the day and the payment was done within 2 hours. No mess no fuss service.

Simple process. Helpful staff.

Easy process with good communication throughout. Gave a good price for a car without an MOT. Called to check as the payment was slow to arrive but staff were helpful and got it sorted. Copart driver who collected was also helpful with hand over.

No-quibble, no-fuss, and efficient!

I was a bit wary of using an internet service, rather than someone I knew, but sellthecar was prompt, bettered another quote, and kept in touch throughout. The agreed money was in my account when they said it would be, and you can’t say fairer than that, really!

Used twice, no issues.

First used this company in 2018 with non running Citroën and then again in 2025 with a faulty BMW. Both times the communication was great, the collection was easy and money paid within a couple of hours.

My clutch had gone on my 12 year old car and the repair costs were too high given the age and state of the car. My car was also now stuck at a local garage so I was concerned about fees to have the car collected. After a simple Google search I found Sell The Car and completed the form, I was instantly offered a fair price. BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

After my car dies and needed a replacement engine I thought it would be a hassle getting rid off and assumed it would just be a scrap value. After looking online I found sell the car and filled out an online form. I was contacted within a day and they made an great offer. I arranged a collection date and money was in the bank after confirmation of collection. It was hassle free plus they informed me throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend this company and staff were fast to respond to any questions I had . 10/10

This company was amazing, hassle free, no hidden agenda and does exactly what it says on the tin. Filled in the online free quotation. Within minutes they send me a guaranteed price for my car . I accepted they arranged a date for collecting . Done. I couldn’t be there for collecting so left keys and v5 in car , given them my full trust . Car was collected when they said . They called to confirm and money straight in my account. Simple. 3 months after sale I realised I forgot to tell dvla I sold car and got a letter about road tax . I messaged sell the car for help . Within 5mins got a message with them happy to help and the next morning got a call from them and they fixed it there and then for me to save me the hassle. Don’t waste your time elsewhere as you won’t find this kind of hassle free service anywhere. Thanks guys will be back with my next car .

They requested for me to put my bank details though email before they came and completed the pick up. From my understanding, no company would ever ask for someone to make or put their credit card details through an email. I don't think I can trust them for this. What should I do? Steer clear as this is a huge red flag or can they be trusted. Thanks!
