Disappointed

Had this new boiler installed in July and the bottom clip on has already

broken so I am left with no cover on the bottom right now. It is very

cheaply made of plastic and the clip has broken right off. Probably because I have had to take the bottom off many times to get the pressure

up to or over 1, as it goes down to red very quickly, maybe twice a week.

Also have to run lots of water in the morning before any hot water appears.

Wish I had kept the old type boiler with cylinder in bathroom cupboard as it kept the bathroom so nice and warm. I would not recommend any one to

change to this type of boiler and wish I had read reviews before I bought

it. I also don't like the programmable Salus thermostat which came with it as it is far too complicated and I prefer to switch heat on and off when I want it not to be woken up with stifling heat at 7 am. All in all I hate it. Waiting now for a new bottom cover and no one seems to be in a rush to get it to me.

None of the points you’ve made are because of the boiler! The installer shouldn’t have recommended a Combi if it’s a long draw off for the water, pressure loss will be a very small leak on your system, and salus stats are rubbish! Get yourself a Honeywell CM927 and don’t blame this particular boiler for all your troubles!!
