I design and develop websites so I'm fairly capable and when something is right or is not right I would know what and usually why.

they offer relatively cheap hosting in scaled packages. One of the key benefits is the "unlimited" bandwidth and by unlimited I mean ridiculously high, the hosts don't even have a usage monitor in their custom domain control panel.

Sadly thats about all thats great. Their servers PHP thread handler drops, or fails to pick up, page loads sometimes. This has been an ongoing problem for the entire 5 years I was with them, and not just my popular sites, its the ones that get 1-200 hits/day. When someone get random blank pages on your site visits thats unacceptable.

Their MySQL databases sometimes can't be accessed during a page load, a forum page load would have random queries would fail to run, yet on a page refresh the page would load fine. 99.9% uptime maybe but not 99.9% reliable.

In 2007 severe weather "cut" the cable to their facility, their servers may have been working but no traffic could get to them for 36 hours and there was no way to find out what was going on and no emails got sent explaining the situation.

Whenever you have a problem, can't delete FTP'd files, or your seeing others' database tables in your phpmyadmin, or emails aren't being forwarded their customer support team ALWAYS ask you for your login and password. Thats a big no-no in my opinion no-one should have your login details but you. Who knows what that "employee" would do with them, or worse still, your data.

Their custom domains control panel is buggy, you can't edit a email forwarders list, you have to delete the list and re-input the whole list. The only way to edit the list in on a 3rd party control panel which isn't documented anywhere (circa 2012). Passwords sometimes confirm as changed when in fact that haven't, even after waiting for 30 minutes for things to "update".

You are limited to just 2 support tickets at a time, even for 20+ websites. Even then support was not helpful, often I would write 300-1500 words explaining the problem, they would reply usually 24-72 hours later and that reply would ask for information you already provided clearly. Usually they would ask for login details or offer empty company speak "we are looking in the issue and will apply fixes in the next service patch."

I suppose I should try for another positive or 2, you can choose between Linux and Windows servers, and they have mod_rewrite and IIS respectively for pretty URLs. And PHP has the GD library and cURL libraries install which isn't standard across webhosts.

All in all its cheap with "big" bandwidth but they are unreliable hosts, have terrible and questionable customer support, which you need for their buggy interface. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.
