Had our boiler fitted Dec 2013 it has broken down approximately 6 times ,mainly in the winter. Last engineer was just here approx 3 weeks ago, fitted new parts but it is broken down again. Can't seem to get any satisfaction from Baxi, they just keep sending an engineer who fits a new part then it works for a while!! I am seriously thinking of contacting trading standards as we are dreading the winter . We may have just got a problem boiler but it is obviously not fit for purpose.

I have installed about 12 or more and mainly in our own property ,with 7 year parts labour its bit chunky so if you are short on space may be not for you , inside its well laid out and I think well built I have seen odd issue with diverter weeping its good boiler and after the 7 year holiday you need a boiler easy to service or repair and the parts unlike others are actually cheap trade wise . Take my advise put inhibitor in yearly and fit a Magnaclean it will last 20 years it also saves energy 6% , my second favorite is Viessman cracking boiler . If you shop around you can buy dirt cheap try Ebay but you may have to collect at big discounts . the bigger model is same so revue is same . Recommend 28Kw for little extra hot water mainly winter 24Kw can struggle if cold water is very cold the size is not size of house on heating its for hot water . But your plumber will advice if knowledgeable.

Had a Baxi Duo Tec boiler installed end of 2012. Now on its fourth breakdown. Baxi are incapable of getting this boiler to run for longer than a few months at a time. They replace the gas valve each time and we get another couple of months use. As it takes them 2-4 days to come to fit it, the winters are getting tiresome and cold! At least we kept an immersion heater. A five year warranty is well and good but I would prefer a product that works and is reliable. Others have reported similar issues. I advise to avoid these boilers.
