BitSaturn64167's review of Just Cause 2 (Xbox 360)

“Good but it all seems the same...”

★★★★☆

written by BitSaturn64167 on 22/06/2016

Just cause 2 is a sandbox game made by Square Enix. It is the 2nd installment of the Just Cause series, and is very good.

Gameplay:8/10
Just Cause 2 has a grappling hook and parachute that are quite fun. It makes getting around easier. Whilst not as quick as a vehicle, you can easily use your hook over all terrain. The parachute is useful for BASE jumping and slingshotting (grappling with your parachute open). There are not that many guns on just cause 2- 10 to be precise- but they fire well and deal lots of damage. There is also 104 vehicles in game- drive them all for an achievement. You have a black market dealer who supplies you with guns, explosives and vehicles. He can also extract you in his chopper.

Missions: 8/10
Missions earn you chaos and money. These missions are split into 4 sections.

Agency: You are Rico Rodriguez, the agency's most dangerous weapon. Your friend and mentor Tom Sheldon has gone missing in Panau. Has he gone rogue? Has he gone crazy? You need to find him.

Roaches: Lead by Razak Razman, and Italian crime lord, this urban mob are the richest, best known crime group. They deal drugs, and have eyes and ears all over Panau.

Reapers: These rebels are all about the land and people being freed from oppression. They are lead by Bolo Santosi, a beautiful native who sends you out on rebellious missions, stealing from the government.

Ular Boys: This jungle mob don't want foreigners in Panau. The native leader, Sri Irawan is big on independence, and sends you on more bloodthirsty missions.

Technical:4/10
Just Cause 2s voice acting is appalling. It isn't hard for makers Square Enix to sync up voice and pictures. Apart from that huge problem, all is good in Panau.

Summary:7/10
A good game, but every base feels the same.
