I am currently working in another country and so I transferred $50k into my new overseas account. They withdrew the money from my US account and then kept it. refused to transfer it either to me in the new country or back to my US account. They have just taken it!

Don't use them, you will not get your money.

I really feel that I have been wronged by OFX, and I lost quite a bit of time, money and built lots of stress transferring my funds with their services.

First I've been transferred from one branch (Canadian, US, Australian...) to the other for a while as they didn't know who should deal with my file, then I have been provided wrong information by at least two representatives during the process, and even had a representative hang up on me when I was asking her to find a creative solution to move forward with my transaction.

And most of all, I had never been told forehand about documents I would be required to provide in order to confirm the transfer. With all of this OFX kept my money for about 7 weeks, time during which the exchange rate had improved in my favor, but when they released my funds they gave me the original exchange rate, 1500 euros less then I would have received had they considered the current exchange rate. And I had to exchange my funds in another currency afterwards, for which the exchange rate tumbled in the time that my funds were being kept, so I basically will receive CAD$4000 less in value than I would have received originally, had OFX done its job properly and in a timely manner. It took 4 months between signing up at OFX and finally receiving the funds.

Although my OFX account Manager admitted that they had done many mistakes with me, I was the one who paid the price of the mistakes at the end, they made a tiny gesture that appeared weak in regards to the way they had treated my file.

So I highly advise anybody to think twice before using this service, it is not as simple and cheap as announced on their marketing.

I had a serious time crunch to get money from the U.S. To Germany. The staff I spoke with were easy to contact via phone and extremely helpful and walked me through the whole process. Just received word that the money went through - without a hitch. Quicker and cheaper than other companies I checked into. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to wait for the very best exchange rate, which I will do next time, but I am very pleased with your service. Thanks! Much appreciated!

I was planning to transfer money to Spain. My plan was to set up the automatic withdrawal from my checking account two weeks before the end of the month so the money was ready to transfer one week before the end of the month. At the beginning everything went fine. After I registered I set up a user convert transaction for $1000.00 USD. It took 2 days to transfer the money to USforex. The problem came after one week when I tried to convert the money. The transfer was set to clear on friday, the it was pushed to monday, then tuesday. I called tuesday morning and the broker told me that it would clear the same tuesday. It didn't. I called tuesday night and they told me it would clear during Wednesday. It didin't. I called again on Wednesday night and they told me the same story. It will clear on Thursday. Still waiting... I hope the money will be transferred soon otherwise I will submit a complain to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to recover my money. Conclusion: Be aware and check other options.

I used to use a BofA to send money to family in the UK. A friend suggested I try out USForex. I am glad she did. I can't believe I've been getting such a horrible exchange rate this whole time.

I definitely recommend this service to anyone who is sick of getting ripped off by banks.

Based on the rate they advertised on the website,($1=54.27INR) I though of signing up. I understood that the website rates were indicative rates only and the actual quotes would be a little lower.

But after signing up, when I was about to do my first transfer. The actual rate that they offered was way lower than what was advertised.

I compared this rate with Citibank, ICICI, SBI, AXIS bank etc and the rates offered by USFOREX are the worst..

For ex. $1=52.02 for a $3000 transfer, whereas all the other website gave INR 53.69 minimum for a $1 transfer.

I don't understand the good reviews they have, wonder if their own folks have written it!!

Friendliest customer service. I had two transfers so far and both reps were fantastic. Very nice, the initial one took me through every step of the transfer and answered all my questions. I am pleased. Money arrived the next day. No fees! Rates were 3% better then Wells Fargo. I would

highly recommend to anyone looking to transfer money overseas.

Tried this for the first time this week having previously used USBank to transfer cast to the UK from the US. I should have done this years ago because:-

- its way cheaper - it saved me nearly 2.5% on the rate.

- It arrived in a day rather than the 4 - 5 business days it normally takes with the bank.

- The receiving bank didnt charge any fees and neither did USForex - needless to say this is not normal bank practice.

All in all I couldnt be more pleased with the service - and if you're not sure what to do it only takes two seconds to get someone with a brain on the phone.

I will definately not be bothering with my bank for international wire transfers from now on.

Professional service and a much better exchange rate than any bank. I was a bit hesitant to go outside of my bank for a transfer overseas, no glitches with a very fast transfer of funds to Australia. Thank you!

Still waiting for a confirmation of funds landed already in my bank though.

I've used this service quite a few times over the past few years. And I can't say enough good things about it. It's very reliable, great rates, fabulous service, easy, low/no fees (depending on how much money you transfer). It's so much better/cheaper than using the service of a bank.
