So I Contacted American Golf Immediately - Answer - tough luck! What the hell!!

Visited Glasgow store last week was given a trade-in price of £260 for titliest irons. This was the day before the double trade in deal started. Went back today to part exchange with the double trade in deal and was told my clubs with the double trade-in value was £105 which they would double to £210. How does this work?? This surely is false representation from this company. Can't be legal. Guys my advice boycott these stores and buy elsewhere.

I take a bit of consolation from he fact that I am not the only one to fall foul of American Golf's ridiculous attempts to wriggle out of a proice match promise which they "big up" so much on their web site and in store. To cut a long story short I found the golf clubs I had priced at American Golf cheaper with a reputable golf shop nearby. I sent in the details by email but they said they couldn't approve it because "the boss is off and we can't contact him". I said they had the prices in writing in front of them as their Ts&Cs request and could call to check but they wouldn't so guess what? Correct - I drove for a while and got a great deal elsewhere. When I complained afterwards they made it worse by suggesting that I hadn't given them the details of the other shop (so it was all my fault after all). In fact they not only had the details but one of the staff had already called the store that very day. I won't be back which is a pity but what is the use of a "price match" when it doesn't match a price!

Wanted to purchase clubs. Sent a copy of the link showing that the clubs were cheaper on another UK site. Similar to other reviews, American Golf would not honour this using the excuse that the shaft and flex were not quoted, despite the fact that the price was the same irrespective of this. Their local store is excellent but when it comes to online, they are very poor. American Golf please scrap your 'price match' which is rubbish.

Bought this just before Christmas. Have not played a single round with it due to wet weather. Noticed a flaw in the material giving an unsightly mark on main white panel. Took it back to American golf, not interested!! Said it had been on trolley which it had but irrelevant to actual mark causing my complaint. If this is indicative of Powakaddy quality I shudder to think what it will look like once I've used it several times on the course. I have bought many clubs from American golf including a set of Taylormade irons. I won't be using them again given the way my complaint was handled. There are plenty of club professionals out there who can give equally as good deals .

I must thank the staff at the telford branch.I returned my driver wich I had purchased from the store last year which had develop a crack on the side.they sent it back to the makers and within a week I received a replacement not the same one but the latest model.Hows that for after sales service . many thanks

I wanted a set of clubs Taylormade Rbladez Max Graphite 4-PW, American golf price £1,129.00, Direct Golf Uk advertised price £648.00. asked for price match but american golf declined, because Direct Golf Uk price included a Free Taylormade Carrylite bag with the offer, therefore it wasn't like for like, American Golf wanted twice the price but no free golf bag!.

Went into store to get a club, bought a driver and as I got to the car I checked and it was USED!! So I took it back in and they had to order me 1, so I asked for it to be delivered to home. A week later still no club, so I rang the store to be told the incompetent staff member ...who had now left... Had forgot to palace the order, they were sending it on next day deliver, by the end of the day it was supposed to come, still no club, so I rang up and it was only sent the morning it was supposed to come... Should be here tomorrow... Won't hold my breath!!!!!!

Buy from an online store instead. Absolute joke!

Ordered a pair of junior Nike trousers online at American Golf for son's birthday. Opted to have them delivered to the local store. Went into collect them on the day they should have been in to find they weren't there. They suggested leaving it a couple of days (really!), phoned them back on the Friday a week after ordering (and the day before son's birthday) to check before going to pick them up - still not there. No trousers for birthday then!

The store promised somebody from online would contact me on the Friday - nothing!

Monday morning I email the online dept telling them to cancel the order and refund - nothing!

Tuesday morning, I phone online people tell them I've had no reply and want a refund immediately to find out that the trousers had been signed for at the store yesterday - we'll thanks for telling me and a big thank you to the store for phoning me to tell me they were in!! But too late I want a refund.

This is where it gets funny. They can't refund me because the store has the stock. So I phone the store, they can't refund me unless I go in to the shop with the card I paid with.

These people are a joke to deal with. God knows what would happen if you had a problem with a nice expensive club that you'd bought. No thanks. I will never buy anything from these people again. I've spent a small fortune with them over the last few years..... never again!

Went in a christmas to buy a rescue club with one in mind after a talk with the salesman and a try of a few left with a Taylor made not one I had thought about and cheaper than the Callaway i was going to purchase. Maybe they made more profit but who cares I was happy with the choice
