We bought the tuff bed for our little Havenese. She chewed through a corner in about 4-5 weeks. I contacted the company for a refund since the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior why do the one time replacement?

They will only refund half our money!! Do you really want to take a chance with a company whose HIGHLY ADVERTISED GUARANTEE really doesn't mean much at all?

I like the color, our dog was not crazy about the feel of the fabric.

Ok, Nothing is 100%. Chew resistant isn't the same as chew proof. I knew this when getting the bed and figured that as long as it lasts longer than a thinner fabric bed, well, good enough for me.

It lasted an hour.

Let me repeat that

One hour...60 minutes.

Are you kidding me?

The cheapo fabric bed we had before this lasted a week and a half once our pup started chewing. The fabric doesn't look like the cross-stitched of rip-stop I've seen in person. I'm sure there are differing kinds out there, but the hole that was chewed was in no way 'contained' as the rip-stop is proposed to work.

My dog is a Rottweiler and she is an strong chewer but is not a toy destroyer. She isn't particularly destructive to the house/yard etc. as a general rule. I bought the bed hoping it would last a year or so knowing how she slowly destroyed the old one. I wasn't hoping for perfection, just maybe my money's worth.

There are no refunds once opened, and only one replacement cover in the 90 warranty period. All of this is spelled out and that's totally fine. However, just beware of things that seem too good to be true. For the $168 I paid to have a dog bed for one hour I could have bought multiple cheap ones that would have leasted for at least a couple of months.

I purchased the orthopedic extra large bed for my 2 dogs who are pitbull and german shepherd. It lasted 3 days and they got threw both the cover and the bedding. Spoke with Charlene at K9Ballistics and she stated that they stand by there product but that it is not 100%. Talk about false advertisement! Apparently the warranty only covers the bed cover and not the bed itself. She also stated to be patient because the one person I need to send an email to is extremely backed up. Why would she be so backed up in the warranty section if there products are chew proof. This product is overpriced for what is not 100% and there customer service is terrible! This product may work for some but remember if you spend $260 on a bed you will not get your money back!

I'm the owner of 6 dogs, several of whom are ardent chewers when it comes to their bedding. I came across K9 Ballistics when searching for "chew resistant" bedding and decided to give them a try. I have ordered several of their products, including the crate pad, the ortho tuff bed and the original tuff bed. I couldn't be more pleased with these beds. Finally, I have bedding that my dogs aren't interested in chewing to shreds (not sure if they've tried, but there is no evidence that they have). These beds are also easy to clean. Some of my dogs have had accidents and I simply throw the beds in the wash and voila, clean as new. The material is tough and solid. While they may seem a little pricey, I have found them to be excellent value when I consider and add up the costs of all other beds that I have purchased and then had to throw away because they were destroyed by the chewing behavior. I expect to have these for a long time. I would, and have, recommended these to my friends with dogs. Great products!
